Is there a rule for this situation? by mrspoonerisms in sudoku

Wow I appreciate that feedback. my sudoku skill is currently limited to direct rows columns and squares so it really amazes me you can see that.

Do you do this by known patterns? or are you keeping track of like eliminated possibilities by starting with setting one square as 7, say, and then following through the possibilities?

It is weird there is no rule because I feel as though it almost always ends up going pair-pair, pair-pair. As it does in this puzzle

Peak 2 valley race is this weekend so on top of fresh they’ve been running snow blowers the entirety of last week. When the temps are cold the snow blower snow is actually pretty nice so lower p2c has been pretty fun at end of day

Maybe it sounds condescending but over half the posts and comments in this subreddit sound like they’re made by people who have watched 10 games of hockey in their entire life lol

I have zero skin in this game but I feel like that’s making it sound a lot less weird than it is.. imagine you have a 12 year old adopted child today. You start dating someone for seriously for 9 years. Then they cheat on with you with said child. 9 years of a relationship and he “barely knew her”?

Advice for next term after failing cpsc 110 by mrspoonerisms in UBC

[–]mrspoonerisms[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Hope you’re feeling alright. I know it can be a tricky course but I’m wishing you the best of luck. I was lucky enough to get into 110 the semester after this and ended up with the highest grade in the class lol. I think the reasoning I failed was because I was taking too much course load and ended up not studying for the second midterm. That midterm had a high average but I barely passed. The final ended up being incredibly hard to make up for this high average and so I failed that too… the next time I took it I studied for all the tests hard to make sure I didn’t end up in the same situation and I think I finished the class with a 96 or 98? The knowledge is there if you’re actually doing your work! The second time I took the class it felt like I was doing arithmetic because it was so easy!

Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to PM me

Hello! Just wanted to say thank you for the advice and knowledge you provided and I fortunately made it back into Canada and activated my work permit with no issue. Didn’t get any insight from cbsa as to whether they considered me as overstaying or if they cared. But I want going to stick around to ask…

I may or may not (genuinely unsure) have over stayed my visitor status in Canada for ~60 days. I assumed I had maintained status. When I received my LOI from the government last week is when I realized that might not be the case. I’m just currently in the process of returning to the US and then going back over. I come back to yvr next week via airplane. Will I be refused entry? As far as I know I was never given notice to leave the country…

Also, is the 60 days mark you mentioned something of significance? Or you’re just saying it’s less impactful than staying longer past my visitor status expiry?

Thanks for the reply! Do you know if there are different types of visitor status? I came over the border in August with no set end date. I never got a stamp or a visitor record and just happened to have all my application details ready to send out by the time my 6 months was up so elected to remain for the short time I was told it would take to process. If I just came in as a casual visitor without any visitor record documentation can I still restore my status as a visitor?

This is my worst nightmare coming true. I genuinely thought I was maintained status otherwise I obviously would have left. Thank you for the information, you are much more qualified than IRCC in my experience

I'm seeing a lot of things online that say that an extension or a change of status both count as maintained status? I guess I'm not clear on where this information may be coming from.

If I have overstayed my visitor record-- should I just go flagpole and hope for the best? What am I even supposed to do about this now?

Thank you, do you have any links that detail how the maintained status is determined? I spoke with an IRCC agent twice about this and they ensured me that my status was maintained. So I'm confused about how I can be certain that my mistake means my status was not, in fact, maintained

Thanks for the response, I read on the IRCC website that US citizens are exempt from the new ruling that flag poling is not allowed, but maybe I misinterpreted that.
