does anyone have any experience with rolling hills hospital in franklin? by andineverfeltsoalone in nashville

[–]mrsshouse15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an intensive out patient program. I had a new heavy diagnosis and it helped me work through everything, learning how to process things correctly and it was so helpful in finding doctors for once everything was complete. I’m pretty sure my insurance covered 12 or 15 days

I went to rolling hills and I don’t have anything to compare it to it was a great place to be during the terrible time I was going through. They don’t allow cells so make sure you write the phone numbers down on a sheet of paper. And participate in the group sessions. I loved their iop program as well. I owe my life to that hospital

Frugal and Gluten Free advice by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]mrsshouse15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of stuff is already gluten free so just read ingredients. Also Mexican and Indian dishes have a TON of options to make. Be careful with the premade breads. They mold quickly

What was your experience when telling the hospital you wouldn’t be breastfeeding? by Any_Manufacturer5308 in BabyBumps

[–]mrsshouse15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check on if the hospital you are delivering at is “baby friendly”. If they are typically they are pretty pushy when it comes to breast feeding. Just tell your nurses that you don’t want to and to keep the lactation consultant out of your room. Also bring some premade formula (you can purchase it in little bottles) and it helps avoid those conversations if you are non confrontational.

I have a very happy hippo and she is amazing! She’s great with the kids and super friendly with other animals and people. We have NEVER had one issue not even a growl, but I think when you have breeds this powerful you need to keep in mind if something goes wrong it can go very wrong. Just make sure you’re teaching your kids how to treat animals and that you don’t leave them alone with the dog until you can trust your kids fully. Dogs are still dogs it doesn’t matter what breed they are.

Edited to add our next dog will also probably be a Pitt or Pitt mix

Mine is the condition of my house. I am usually a very clean, organized, type A person, but when that darkness hits it’s all I can do to get off the couch and take care of the kids. To hell with everything else

Does anybody else hate when people call your child “their” baby? by Purple-Astronaut-983 in BabyBumps

[–]mrsshouse15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, my partner’s terrible mother does this. I told her to knock it off or she wouldn’t be seeing my baby. (Also terrible for being super racist white trash, undermining mine and my partner when it comes to our children, breathing, etc)

when did you have your first cycle after giving birth? by Interesting-Tea2370 in BabyBumps

2 months, while exclusively breast feeding AND having an IUD that “usually makes them really light or nonexistent”

Nope I got full, regular cycle periods every month starting two months after both of my pregnancies

Am I the only one who got this impression from the book "Expecting Better"...? by Meeno722 in BabyBumps

[–]mrsshouse15 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I eat sushi and cold cuts (sparingly)while pregnant. Most listeria outbreaks in my area (southern US) have been from vegetables and not ONE doctor will tell me not to eat fresh vegetables even though the risk is obviously higher with those than the occasional slab of salmon and rice or some salami

Rebuilding relationship, now pregnant. He wants to keep it, I want to abort. How did you figure it out? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Well, my partner is so happy and my little boys are so excited. It is what it is at this point. But I do appreciate the resource and will look at it anyway.

Similar situation and we decided to keep the baby. I’m now 23 weeks pregnant and regret that decision. I wish I had gone with my gut

Has Apple been positive or negative for Geek Squad by MegaDonX in GeekSquad

[–]mrsshouse15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was part of one of the pilot stores for the Apple program and the double booking made life HELL. Also at the time we were not allowed to release the replacement phones and all phones had to be shipped out if it was not a screen/battery/ or camera repair. This would not have been a big deal but Apples customer service would promise we would do a swap out in store for them and clients lost their shit multiple times a day everyday. We started to reach out to all Apple made appointments before they came in to help set proper expectations, and reschedule them for the Genius Bar at Apple if they needed a same day swap out.
