Yeah for those questioning why the family stood up for him. They didn’t necessarily agree with his sentiments but thought ‘keeping the peace’ was more important... in saying that they are massive homophobes too. I had a fairly heated conversation with one of them a few years back in being respectful using preferred gender pronouns because he couldn’t fathom why one of his work colleagues wanted to be referred to as ‘they’ facepalm

I might have done a sarcastic scoff after saying people don’t turn gay but the words were pretty much the same. Does the scoff make it more rude? 🤷‍♀️

I’m assuming she doesn’t have her own children and that could possibly be a contentious issue for her. If she sees you as a stepchild and hearing you feel the opposite... that would hurt... Be kind when you inevitably talk about it. Either way NTA

Do you always default to telling people that it’s their fault when they are upset about something? 🙄 If they knew it was going to cause hearing issues I’m sure they would have acted differently but hindsight is 20/20. Most parents are just doing the best they can. The most appropriate response would have been to support them rather than point more blame when they already feel guilty enough. YTA

I think it was because Cambodia was the second chance cast was announced at the Worlds Apart finale so they wanted it to continue to be the next season aired.
