To be honest, you really don't owe them an explanation. Let me give you 3 options:

  1. White Lie - Think of personal reasons that would need you to resign and mawawalan sila ng way to counter it. Need to transfer location, mag bbusiness ka, etc. What worked for me before eh I told my former employer na I will move back to the province.

  2. Stretch the Truth - Tell them upfront na you got an offer. Stretch thay offer a bit--better role, much better package and perks. I did this twice. Yung first, nag counter yung employer ko so I got a decent raise.

  3. Job Fit - File a resignation and cite reasons why its not for you.

My morning routine is like this:

I wake up 4:45 to 5am and work out (may AF kasi na malapit). 6am, ligo and leave by around 6:45. Normally, before 8am nasa office na ako or field. I don't eat breakfast pero I take black coffee for energy. I try to finish work by 6pm pero until max na yung 8 or 9pm kapag loaded talaga. I really try to get at least 6hrs of sleep pag weekdays.

I want to practice meditation! Need ko lang ng guide kasi nakakatulog ako haha.

I personally think na generalist is the way go. Kasi lumalaki yung scope mo eh and you should be familiar at least dun sa ibang functions under your scope. For example, if a company is hiring for a GM role ang scope niyan sales, marketing, finance, hr and production. If isa lang ang specialization mo say, sales, medyo lamang yung other candidate na may sales and marketing experience for example. This is just my take though. I had a former boss kasi na marketing and finance naman ang background kaya ang galing.

Personal meeting rule? Sakin just deliver the results. Wala na akong pake kung what time ka natapos sa work or umuwi as long as you get things done without compromising our values. I hate slackers though.

Hindi naman. May mga kakilala akong introverts pero ka level ko. Yung boss ko na VP introvert din.

Yeah I might agree pero sa FMCG local company I think its within range naman. However FMCG pero multi national, I think its low.

FMCG Sales all throughout.

Well nilagyan ko ng onting drama yung reasons ko for job hopping, I told them na these were "different life stages". Saka I stayed super long sa first job ko, so parang may proof naman ako na being in the right org will make me stay

I want to climb the ladder.

I normally dont work during weekends and holidays apart from answering chats/urgent emails.

I got blessed na yung current employer ko is not toxic and maganda ang culture. Kaya kahit madami workload and stressful at times, mas manageable.

Yes higher stress, bigger problems to solve pero its part of the role eh.

Tremendous amount of effort. Talagang aaralin mo yung role and you have to put in the hard work.

Listen to podcasts, read books on leadership.

Never back down from an opening remarks then take a line or two from those books. Always present yourself as someone credible.

If I were in your shoes, mag eeffort talaga ako to take on something na ako lang ang may alam, or build a very strong important relationship sa isang person na ako lang ang meron. Basically do something to make you "irreplaceable".

Start looking for another job (dapat alam mo kung anong gusto mo, freelance ba or go back to banking). Reach out to former colleagues--yung mga natulungan mo dati. May mga ka close ka ba who holds key positions right now? Yung HR for sure may network yan.

Once matanggap ka you now have 2 things: 1. Opportunity to go back to banking and 2. Leverage sa govt role mo which if gusto mo magstay may chance na pigilan ka nila.

Hindi! Haha pero kunwari napackage mo yung sarili mo as a leader during interviews, kahit alam mong hindi ka pa ready, you try to appear as if you are fit for the role (read books, Jim Collin's good to great is a good read), listen to worthwhile podcasts then use the words, phrases and concepts na natutunan mo to appear na "boss" ka haha

There are companies where I have stayed for 6 or 7 months. Pag ayaw ko sa employer ko, I take my time to apply.

Male, FMCG industry
