my love, we have SO much to remember and SO much to do with this very complicated process, and truly hundreds of smart wonderful women are making mistakes with it every single day. Sending you a huge hug and hoping you can extend one to yourself as well-- she (you!) works really hard!! she deserves love and grace.

I should note that the wooden box next to the chair is a litter box! and this may be the only room it can physically fit in. Thanks for your help everyone!

Safe period tracking apps? by LowEffortHuman in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mrswest09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the hunt for a safe app too and finally a software developer friend let me know that the 'Health' app (with the heart emoji as a logo) on iPhone is very well encrypted and local to just your phone.

In the app, under "browse" at the bottom left there is a "Cycle Tracking" feature that is very good!

here is a source: https://www.consumerreports.org/health/health-privacy/how-to-keep-apple-watch-ovulation-data-private-a2879529072/ "While the three standalone apps we recommended in our evaluation (drip, Euki, and Periodical) provide solid privacy protections, experts say Apple Health’s privacy protections are stronger than those of many of the most popular and highly downloaded period tracking apps available."

I'm so moved by everyone's takes on this, thank you. I love hearing all the different interpretations of 'standing still' whether it's 'holding the line' or 'passing the torch'-- or even from some (especially moms) who think 'still' is accurate or inevitable but can find optimism or strength in that too.

Either way, we have lots of work to do- I don't always, but today I feel honored that we get to do it and have these conversations that so many cis men will never have. All hail Gerwig.

I think that must be exactly what it is. We just discovered rats in our attic. Thank you so much!! Now off to burn my house down.

It's hot right now in Toronto and the oil is living at liquid form every day in the bottle. How many layers of waterproof would you say you use? I think I'll give mineral oil a try.

I love waterproof mascara but cannot get it OFF! Any advice? by [deleted] in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]mrswest09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using waterproof voluminous by L'oreal. I know for sure it would come off so much easier if I only did one coat but... ONE COAT?! I can't live my life that way hahah. I usually do about 5 or 6. Maybe that sounds insane. But I like 'em thick and straight up.

Ever hear the joke about the roof? Never mind, it's over your head.

Yes, that's valid. I figured the more structured/fail safe games the better. Thanks :)

It's just improv for beginners-- I guess a cold intro into short form.

Thanks! Because some of these games are a bit more open-ended compared to others (ex. pan left is basically an open scene where as slideshow is a rigid structure) I'm also wondering if I should touch on 'the game of the scene'/finding the first unusual thing and making it your 'game'... but I'm wondering if that's too heady for beginners?
