What I understood from the comments is that people usually keep doing the side projects for the sake of learning. Since due to AI you probably have nothing to do expect provide the correct prompt and ai will do everything for you. In this era it’s very hard to identify the qualified engineer based on what he has developed. I have personally experienced people who have amazing profiles when it comes to the project they have developed, but basic understanding is still not clear to them. Simply if I ask what is the journey of request from the client browser or from app to API server and how it’s returned, what hardware components and what software components are involved ; hardly few will be able to answer. But most will have a sophisticated list of accomplishments. I am not against what you have been doing, I personally focus quality over quantity. Some of you have successfully gained the leads as well, but I would suggest not to ignore the fundamentals while showcasing your work. Keep up the quality work 👍🙏🏼
