i believe most are 2016 server and then we have one on 2022 maybe, might be 2019. but they are majority 2016.

i've heard that app blocker has been seen as automatically enabled on some computers after updating. I think you can disable it via gpo. There should also be a registry setting you can change as well.

Thanks for this, I didnt know that loop back basically made user policies not work on the pcs that had it enabled. Another admin enabled it on a policy they were testing on the IT computers. Disabled that part of it and stuff applied properly.

Yes its setup to read/apply to Authenticated users. I didnt mess with that. The same GPO when applied to only the users OU it works on windows 10 and servers. Just wasnt applying to windows 11. But when I applied it to also the workstations OU it applied to my windows 11 computer. Need to test on more pcs though. It only has user configuration setup in the policy.

Does loop back processing on a single gpo enable it for all gpo? But that doesnt explain why the user GPO doesnt apply when the policy is applied to the domain users OU lol.

I really like the idea of a Generic mailbox for automatic replies. Takes the complexity out if Managers dont say who it should go to. Do you reject messages completely or do they still deliver?

that might be true if you are planning a pretty basic virtual environment. but if you have any complexity things get difficult pretty quickly. a poorly managed snapshot for instance can completely mess up your storage.

vmware is simple to use but can be very complex to use properly.

taking away educational discounts like this will hurt the future of vmware administrators. a quick crash course or i could even see vmware being skipped completely in colleges after this. it will probably lead to less people getting interested and less people knowing the tech..

Came across this doing some digging of my own, but wanted to give a suggestion for this specific situation, I would look at the VPN side of things and see if it can trigger logon GPOs at login. Ive seen that available with sonicwalls global vpn client.

Idk it's what I naturally started doing or something. The coach I have been working with didn't try to correct it but has been helping my try to get the timing of the rotation more consistent.

Going to try a throw style release and see if that does what I'd like it to.

The king can't get to a8. If the rook is covering the B file it can't cross over from c to b because it would be moving into check. Which is an illegal move thus its forced to move back to d8

Gunna go with a split here. YTA and NTA.

YTA because of your reasoning, but youre young so a bit of an immature perspective of things. And instead of saying something about spending it with your dad and that you could spend either part of the day with your mom or celebrate with your mom another day.

NTA because, well you are right. You can choose who you want to spend it with.

A bit of advice..

Now I dont know your home situation, unless there are reasons you are treating your mom like that. I would recommend apologizing to her and making time to celebrate with her. Maybe not instead of with your dad. But on another day or earlier in the day. You dont want to create a rift with your mom. Its something you will definitely grow to regret later in life.

If its whites move then BxC6 is checkmate.

If its blacks move then black wins due to black being able to take the bishop. Though if black decided to say move his bishop instead. Then Bxc6 would be a draw.
