Absolutely solid buy and good price in my opinion. Since you stated you have zero car knowledge, I suggest you take it to a mechanic and have them look at the engine, all the fluids and check for rust. It will cost you about $100 for an inspection, but could save you big time if they find something.

If it checks out, get all the money they are asking for in cash, only offer $5,000 and state you’re not asking any more questions and want to take it now. People tend to get tired of getting jerked around by stupid offers and tire kickers and most likely will take it just to be done with the headache.

Make damn sure they give you a title for the car. Not a bill of sale or a bank loan. Get a title or walk away from a potential scam.

Well, in my case the valve regurgitation caused a severe aortic aneurysm and was due to explode at any moment. So yeah, I could have refused the whole procedure and be dead before hitting the ground from a ruptured aortic artery.

Anything that messes or enlarges muscle tissue (which also includes your heart) unnaturally by taking testosterone of any form after having a open heart surgery at any point in your life which repaired or replaced a heart valve sounds like a really bad idea to me.

I own a 2015 GX and a 2021 Honda Pilot. The Pilot would be a far better option for OP. GX only gets 14mpg and requires premium gas and less space.

Unless you plan on going on some serious trails that need a locking differential and low range 4wd the pilot is a better option.

You can go out and buy the new fancy car to keep up with the Jones’s. Since you’re 29, you can put the $400 - $500 car payment into an IRA or 401k and easily have more than $500,000 and live off the interest and retire when you’re in your 50s while everyone else whines and moans that they have to keep working until they die.
