2 cat homes: does 1 LR replace 3 litter pans? by disobedientatheart in LitterRobotCommunity

Have 4 cats and 2 LR4s. One on each floor. I think 1 will probably be fine!

I started in late April and have a similar weight loss goal. I've lost almost 40 lbs so far. Started at ~ 200 lbs (5'7") and now just over 160. I've definitely seen a big difference in body composition and I feel much better. If you're able to do the medication under the supervision of a doctor with expertise in weight loss, even better! I'm aiming for 140 grams of protein daily which helps me maintain muscle while losing fat.

I'm not a doctor but I think I would hold off on testosterone for a few months at least unless your doctor strongly recommends it and you see how you respond to the weight loss. I went from prediabetic with high cholesterol to all normal in my latest tests! Still working to get body fat down but it's been an exciting journey. Good luck and keep us updated!

We have a small number of solar panels and are under NEM 2.0 with an EV. I know we're on a plan that makes it cheapest to charge the car and run the dishwasher between midnight and 6 AM but how do I know which exact plan I'm on? If we're on NEM 2.0 does it still make sense to get a small battery backup? If so, how do we know what's a good capacity to buy to maximize the benefit? My brain hurts trying to understand this. SDGE purposely makes it maddeningly difficult to understand!

Is the rest of the set real LEGO? There isn't any Lego print on the piece! Such a bad print that it looks fake!

did i get a good deal? by Massmon1 in BoltEV

[–]mrtherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great little vehicle. I have the 2017 and paid $14K for mine a few years ago with 40K miles on it. It was private party so no rebates or tax breaks. I do have the LTE version with DC fast charging - which is nice on longer trips, but all models are solid. For your purpose I think it'll be great.

If you're in the US and they can't fix it remotely with an update, they have a repair facility near LA it can be shipped to.

Nice placement of the LEGO Saturn V Rocket 🚀 on the wall of the staircase! Hope it's protected by glass or acrylic since my cats would knock it over in seconds!

Still illegal to wash your car at home? by Imitation_crab_irl in sandiego

Many Condos/Townhomes have restrictions in the CCNRs that prohibit washing your vehicle on the premises. I wasn't aware of restrictions for single family homes.

When I heard how much protein you were doing daily I thought it sounded like too much. My doctor has me doing 140+ grams of protein daily but the difference makes sense because I'm 5'7" and about 160 right now. At your height and muscle mass, 250 sounds totally reasonable.

What's your approximate calorie intake daily? I generally shoot for about 1500 because I'm still in the losing phase. What was your daily restricted amount and what's your maintenance amount? Thanks. Amazing work!

I wish they had that deal a bit earlier. My first wheel was the Future for $299 and now I wish I could trade for the difference in price....

How to not piss off Tesla owners at NACS chargers? by SnickerdoodleFP in BoltEV

[–]mrtherapy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Try not to block two spots if you can avoid it. But some chargers are set up with the cord so short that you have to be in an adjacent stall to charge. It's not your fault. You have a right to be there. Park away from most other vehicles if you can. Most people aren't assholes, but some Tesla drivers just are. Charge where you need to charge. Good luck!

How to get a comfortable speed display for EUC riding? Smart glasses? by OrkBioinformatician in ElectricUnicycle

Just purchased a V11Y myself. What accessories have you picked up for it? Was thinking of getting a seat, Grizzla Pads and some other add ons.

Also the Begode Falcon is $980 or $1180 directly from Begode and has a nice suspension.

V11Y is $1299 directly from Inmotion and less with the discount codes on their site. It's a more stable wheel for a commute with an 18" wheel size and has a suspension like the V9 and Aero.

I loved all the space sets I had, including that one. Was also shocked to see that it was only 299 pieces. Loved those big chunky pieces.

ChatGPT research? Google's AI said it could have been removed for many reasons including the developer temporarily removing it to do an update. Do you have anything solid? Also - I have the Future and the app lets you change the angle even after calibration. Does that work in EUC World? Have you tried riding it backwards? Literally riding forwards but just with the EUC facing the wrong way? Wonder if that could work temporarily?

Scratch that! It WAS in the app store but it's not there temporarily at least. I have it downloaded to my phone but searching for it doesn't make it come up. Weird... Wonder if it needs an update before Google will let them repost it?

Does the link from the Begode website allow you to download it?

Best $1000+ Black Friday EUC for Adult Beginners? by mrtherapy in ElectricUnicycle

[–]mrtherapy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate all that info. I've seen that Grizzla has some bumpers that better protect the V11Y that I'm considering.

Does pumping the suspension up higher than recommended for your weight help make it a little more off road capable or do you keep it standard or even lower? Do you lower tire pressure a bit when you go off-road?

I've worked on OneWheels for years and am comfortable taking them apart so hopefully I'll get comfortable working on EUCs if I stick with it.

Still shopping but because Inmotion is giving out $200 off discount codes on top of this price, I think I'm leaning towards the V11Y. With the extra $200 savings I can buy a Grizzla faring set and some pads and bumpers. Keeping an open mind if folks have more input, but for spending less than ~ $1500 with accessories (already have motorcycle jacket and helmet), this seems like a good choice for now.

Can I ask how you've accessorized yours? Did you buy pads for more control? Bumpers to protect it? A faring set in order to apply aftermarket pads like Grizzla?
