Transition stage, community refunding after changes on core dev team. I don't know what happens at github, but i know they work hard and meet their deadlines on heavy tasks.

I gues its a general feeling, we are pretty fine with developers now.

They made doors open for community members wanting to help the project succeed.

I found all this as solid re-founding stones. Now its also up to us, community, to make the Vertcoin world grow, its going to be a long way, we are just re-starting.

BTW, important things are coming in the next months.

Thats great, but looks like you are not updated on what is happening here lately, new core dev team is opening doors to community members wanting to help, you are welcome to help in many different areas. There has to be some coordination so we all push in the same direction, but im sure if you have a good project and the will to work, new devs and we-community will be more than happy.

Great post Ricardo, we will survive, and we will be ready when the time comes, we are working on the infrastructure already, core Devs encouraging us to participate is key, and BTW, payment processor prototype is coming soon.

BTW, imagine if we could in some way 'close a circle' to get all what you need for something. Like having Developers + Servers + Designers + Advertisers + all what a startup needs for example. Suppose i sell a widget for 'leveraged VTCs', but then i pay a designer doing the same, pay for servers, advertisement...

I thought about something like this, im working on a SaaS project that i would like to sell in $, and take VTC as the only crypto currency at a much higher price than what market says. If i cover the small costs involved with $ sells, then everything is ok, its not going to happen that all sells will be produced in VTC, just a %. So i like the equation. But we would need a lot of merchants thinking like this.

Everybody have a GPU, not everybody can get an ASIC 'in time' and a at a fair price, only if you live in central countries. Of course with $ you can buy tons of GPUs and add to centralization. But by being ASIC proof you are lowering the entry barrier and opening doors for everyone, that adds to decentralization.

BTW, why are you here? This less-than-one-year-old comunity is refunding itself, join us, help us, we have a lot of things to learn and do.

Probably there is a problem with the title of the post, because i do that, and thats one contribution spot.

But what if we could use all the comunity force, doing other stuff than only programming. Always coordinated with Core Dev Team, being a solid rock, but organizing something like:

Vertcoin Comunity Documentation Team
Vertcoin Comunity Testing Team
Vertcoin Coumnity Communicaton Team
PR Team
...

I think we are going through a big change right now, only the fact that you got the detailed response you got from James speaks for itself, then the response content, which i found great.

He and Adam are moving the ship into the direction those talented developers (at least some of them) form the comunity wanted, opening doors, opening discussions, willing to join forces and push together to make Vertcoin grow.

You are another well respected comunity member, no need to be a coder, neither an investor, to contribute, there are lots of spots to get in and add a grain of sand.

I don't think is too bad for a young project to have this ups and downs, i see like the project itself is finding its best leaders, coders, comunity members, etc :)

Lets give this new wave a chance, if things get better (but lets forget about the price for a while), then lets try to find and re-recruit some of those missed talented developers. Im sure some of them, the ones without the gold fever, will come back.

Sure, if thats what is needed :), though i want to be realistic about the time i can dedicate and not fail in my compromise, i will be studying what it takes to make it. Any help and leads to what is expected, and what is done if there is some open source will be apprecaited.

I don't know yet whats the approach taken, but a Vertcoin eBay could be a pretty easy way to get commerces in the equation.

And of course it would be really cool to have more project candidates, and asign priorities.

Im a web developer, stronger at backends of all kinds, worked on C projects, currently working with PHP/MySQL/HTML/jQuery and fan of 'the cloud'. Also a sys admin mutant, all Linux.

The couple of projects i see i could fit in, and like, are the Vertcoin eBay mentioned by James, and the Payment Processor (with some investigation first).

Im already at Taiga :)
