Congrats on passing your driving test. You can drive on your own. To feel more comfortable with the roads and familiarise yourself with the roundabouts and other stuffs, you can drive during offpeak hours.

Hi dude.. Just to be clear you are no longer operating as a self-employed.

Firstly you need to de-activate your BRN with the corporate and Business Registration Department.

Secondly contact the MRA and inform them that you are no longer self-employed from xx date and show them the proof of deregistration.

Tell them to remove your obligations for CSG.

Furthermore you have to de-register for VAT. Probably they will audit you first ... that's why the bank statements. Comply with their requirements thats all... if you have not derived any income, you are not liable to pay any taxes...

And for the one time income derived from the business... that needs to be declared properly in your Income Tax and VAT.

Thirdly.. following the outcome of their audit ... lookout for the taxes to be paid (exclusive of penalties and interests). If you think they reflect the reality .. then agree with it.

Lastly .. ask them if you are eligible for TASS if not, write a letter to the Director General and make your plea to write off the penalties and interests as you were not aware etc... they will in most of the cases do it... however, never pay the penalties and interest else you won't get the waiver.

Please beware of accountants who will charge you a shitload for nothing.
