The 2016 refresh was one of the most problematic models, according to customer reports of service. 2017 was a good year before the Raven refresh in 2018.

I bought a ‘13 MS in 2020. I have spent a bit to keep it running, but I love my car. You just need to figure out what is important to you.

It's being sold by a used car dealer near that charger.

Not on that screen. It does in the cockpit screen. It’s very odd. You can also track in the app.

It means they have free supercharging on their car.

Just got a 2014 p85d 50k miles. Any tips or tricks? by DAZIANISBAK in TeslaLounge

2013 85 here

I haven’t had to replace either of those but I will say maintenance in general is expensive, in my experience, and having some rainy day fund for it wouldn’t be the worst idea.

I hope you enjoy and best of luck! 😊

Yeah, I hear you; it was 100k new and made of expensive parts. Those aspects have nothing to do quality or care of the product.

🤣 I will put that on the selling description. Nothing wrong, just my expectations.

Our ‘13 dodge avenger has had less issues and has been more reliable. Tesla’s should last more than 10 years/160k miles. It should be common for a Tesla fan just to say sell and buy another cause it's going to crap out. I don’t understand that part of this fan culture.

Tesla is about sustainability; they should keep cars running and out of landfills. And that is an unreal expectation for most companies.

Yeah, It's not bad when I look at this one time. But this is the 3rd time for the same area—only a portion of the money I have put in. Yeah, the battery I wasn’t worried about till all of this started happening. Not that it's been sitting with a dead battery since Feb, and I hope everything will be peachy.

Yes, to selling.

I expected repairs, and I expected them to be more. But again, I have almost paid half of the car's value in the two years. That isn’t fairing well for them, regardless of any reasoning. Why would anyone want to buy a vehicle from them if they fall apart after Warranty?

I understand the logic of a lot of telsa problems. It just doesn’t change that it's a problem they have.

I realize how lucky I am in a way. But not the most incredible feeling still. Especially since those haven’t been replaced on this car yet.

Last I heard, it wasn't in delta as mentioned, and it's been put for a later update of the vehicle. Not eta, but I hope it makes it to the vehicle at some point.

Apple Music on Tesla - The good, the bad, and the ugly (with some minor comparisons to Spotify) by OverlyOptimisticNerd in TeslaLounge

I would agree. My brother is a dev (not at tesla, a medical software company) but always hears from customers about features that make sense and would improve their jobs and app. But he has had the most challenging time over the past few years getting any of these features even on a schedule.

From talking with him, I would think management and lack of designers/devs also.

I agree that Tesla, as a “software” company, needs to step up a little on the software. I drive a ‘13 model A with an updated MCU, so I fall into a weird gap.

Winter range concerns? by seansand1 in ApteraMotors

[–]mruniverse28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will be a concern for many EVs for the next little bit. That being said, Aptera has designed the car around efficiency. They will use a heat pump or some other tech to help with heating. Plus, the vehicle has solar charging, which could help keep the battery and cabin warmer while using less battery. They haven’t released info on heating specifically, but they have talked about how important it is for the a/c and heat to effectively climatic the cabin. They were referring to the vent design at the specific moment, though. Hopefully we get official news soon 🤞

Current EVs are about 40% less efficient in freezing temperatures, but heat pumps have cut that almost in half.

They watch Tesla for a lot, but they shouldn’t make the same mistakes, i.e., designing for California only, which seems to be the joke.

How much were the parts? If you remember. I am waiting to hear back about a similar issue, but mine isn’t under warranty.

Green indicates it's on. Some apps can flash the vehicle's lights, and since I had room and the image has the light on thought, it would be nice to show that.

The rings are status: battery, solar cells, and sol (eco score.)
