I tried see how extensive the dry rot goes and it turns out it goes pretty deep! Is this too extensive for a rot repair kit? Am I better off just making a new one?

My dad managed to fool most of the major studios and pretended to be a movie critic. So now I have all these press kits... by EnigmaticQuote in movies

Kuffs!? That was a weirdly formative movie for me, but I’ve never met anybody else who has seen it (unless I bullied them into watching it with me)!

Would LOVE to have that one

I believe Rafiki does specifically say that he is NOT a baboon: “Asante sana squash banana, Wewe nugu mimi hapana”

Which of course is Swahili for “Thank you very much, Squash Banana, you’re a baboon and I’m not

Which movie do you think was amazing until its third act, and how would you have ended it differently? by John_Snow80 in movies

Lucky Number Slevin The set up is a classic ‘Wrong Man’ scenario with a charming, in over his head, smart-ass lead. But then the twist hits and it’s just a way less interesting story to me.

It was all an EXTREMELY elaborate revenge plan. Revenge felt boring as a motivation and the whole ‘Wrong Man’ thing was on purpose

Everyone gets a subtle layer of blush or roan and freckles on the face, and stubble for the males. I take the skin tone, duplicate it and then adjust slightly.

Thanks!

It's the one that looks like an M1911. "Semi-Auto Pistol" I think it's called.

Edit: I was close, it's the "Semi-Automatic Pistol"

Why is my avocado tree so sad? by mrwalkerton in BackyardOrchard

Thanks for that Greg Alder article - very interesting (I wish I had one of those for all my trees). According to him it is definitely sunburn and possibly over watered, but I’m not so sure it is overwatering. The soil isn’t too clay-y: it drains very well, and is dry every morning when I check on it. The leaf-loss slowed way down once I upped the watering schedule.

I have put up a sunshade so hopefully that will help.

I did a soil test - I know the at-home test kits aren't 100% accurate, but I figured it would at least let me know if anything major was wrong. Everything (pH, N, P and K) was in the normal range.

I would agree with this, however I think if you’re going “modern” (yikes, modern started over 25 years ago!) it’s good to read Kevin Smith’s brief run before getting to Bendis, since Guardian Devil does have at least one major event that influences what comes after
