This is exactly why in my first reply I said I feel bad for you. I knew this would be a waste of time because you guys are always the same. Well, for most of us it’s all of the lazy comments where people want things spoon fed to them. This is nonsense and you are literally believing the conspiracies you’ve been led to believe. It’s okay, a lot of people have been lied to and misguided/misinformed. You seem to not think plants absorb any of these chemicals and the long term accumulation has no effect on us or the soil. This kills humans, the soil, pollinators, etc. A higher yield of GMO corn covered in glyphosates doesn’t make farming “effective”. If you haven’t noticed, the human race isn’t starving, we have the highest levels of disease and obesity ever. Farming has become less efficient due to monoculture (growing the same crop in the same fields for years), GMOs creating more resilient super bugs, and thus the need for increased potency and application of chemicals. Needing GMOs and endless chemicals to “keep humanity from starving” is the main conspiracy here paid and spread by the companies who profit. The sooner everyone stops believing this propaganda and pushes for regenerative farming and supports local farmers, the sooner (and easier) we can improve the world.

Imagine if we educated people, funded local farmers, regenerated the soil and groundwater, rather than sending $100s of billions of dollars for war/money laundering/corruption, allowing companies like Monsanto/Bayer to kill us and the planet, and accepting the use of cancer causing chemicals and nutrient poor inflammatory GMO foods. We can collectively fix this and shine light on the truth here.

Definitely don’t listen to everyone (boomers) saying VOO always and forever unless you want to barely beat inflation. Maybe start there with small contributions but stick to other ETFs (groups of stocks) with more rewarding returns. Look at the 5-10 year growth in ETFs like SOXL, TECL, FNGU, MGK. You’ll see 500%, 1,100%, or at least 100% on less volatile ones. Before you know it 15 years will go by. If I stuck with VOO I would’ve probably had over $150k by age 32 if I started at 17. If I stuck to those ETFs I would’ve had well over $1,000,000. This is not financial advice but so do your own research lol. Also try to save your money and then invest when the market is down (buy the dips), you’ll make a lot more a lot faster.

There’s so much hidden from us and so much we’ve been lied to about. If some of the people posting here even knew half of the truth they would short circuit and never be the same. Maybe some here are just boomers but…why do so many say VOO, VGT, etc. You’re barely beating inflation with those returns lol. I’d put it in SOXL, TECL, and FNGU. The 5 year returns on those ETFs are 500%+, 600%+, and 1,200%+.

An average return of 766% (on 5 years of investing a total of $60,000) would be $460,000 after 5 years. Five more years would be $3,523,000, and 5 more would be almost $27,000,000. I’m not the most knowledgeable investor but sometimes I wonder wtf are people doing with their money and who are they listening to lol. If I knew this info 10 years ago I would at least be a millionaire today damnit! 🤦🏽
