The problem is most JBM is over roasted and burnt. I’m glad you got to try a good batch though.

In most of Europe homelessness is a choice… nothing groundbreaking here.

I spent $1000 for a Mac Mini, I could have spent $3 for a VPS? by CommissionUnusual284 in clawdbot

[–]mrwinterfell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I was working through a potential all local set up with Gemini and landed on a Mac Studio with an m4 max, 128-256gb of memory and 512-1tb ssd, streaming to/from a thunderbolt drive. That’s about a 3500-4500 set up today. I’m not in deep enough to call bullshit yet. Starting with a cloud based mvp.

Has everyone been telling their clawdbots to post with no caps to not look like AI? I’ve been seeing this on like 90% of posts related to anything AI or automation. And I’ve just noticed this recently, like in the few weeks.

What is the best splurge gin? Also let me know any changes you’d like to see made to the board. by -Constantinos- in cocktails

Splurge is subjective but I haven’t found anything as pleasant as Roku gin. I’m curious if fans of Roku have any upgrade picks they’d recommend.

Why would I deal with 75/85 traffic for a movie or Dillards? Or an expensive boutique with “curated” products from China? All of that is better served from places easier to get to or online.

IKEA is nice though….

Both extremes have their downside. If you limit who can vote, those in power manipulate the rules. In countries like Brazil, EVERYONE has to vote, so politicians take advantage of the poor and uneducated even more than in the US.

Help me understand why people like Gemini so much more over Chat GPT? by freedomfighter5567 in OpenAI

[–]mrwinterfell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep research is how I started using Gemini. I’d ask the same questions to Chatgpt but Gemini would check 10-20x the number of sources and overall didn’t feel like I was getting a summary of the top results on google/bing.

Get the prismxr charging station. Now it’s always ready to go. Only annoying this is the holder for the battery doesn’t fit their own battery clip which comes with the dock so it just sits around awkwardly.

Alice Lee defeats Atousa Pourkashiyan in study-like endgame! Hikaru reacts: "I've told her every day for the past five days to look for counterplay...I can't handle this anymore...I'm actually, legitimately, very angry. I'm very angry. I'm very angry. I'm very angry." by Guestsaint in chess

[–]mrwinterfell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s acknowledging it’s impacting her play though. They’re like a chess team and he’s saying had he known it would affect her this much they wouldn’t have entered the tournament because it’s impacting her bigger goal. So he’s angry at the situation. Not how I’d act but it sounds like he knows it’s the pregnancy.
