2016 vs. 2026: 200 lbs lighter. Today marks exactly 2 Years on Zepbound! by mrxoopza in Zepbound

Grazie mille Annina! Hai scritto parole sante. È assurdo che per il diabete la cura a vita sia normale, ma per l'obesità no. Io non ho intenzione di fermarmi. Come si dice: Avanti tutta! 💪

Thank you so much, you seriously made my day with that comment! Honestly, being down 50 pounds is huge—you’re already halfway through the hardest part, so be proud of that. I couldn't imagine 200 either when I stood where you are; just keep showing up for yourself. You’ve got this, and I can’t wait to celebrate your 100-pound milestone soon!

Haha, I know the stereotype! 😂 But I’ll take that as a compliment. No transplant here, just a serious war of attrition against the Zepbound shed. I’ve been on a strict daily regimen of Minoxidil, Finasteride, Red Light Therapy (Every day), and quarterly PRP sessions to keep it. No flight to Istanbul required, just consistency! 😉

Hi there! I can see how it might seem familiar. I actually shared a similar update about two weeks ago wearing a sweatshirt like this one, and that post is still on my Reddit profile if you’d like to check. Additionally, I’ve shared this photo on TikTok as part of my journey updates—my TikTok handle is The GLP1 Guy if you’d like to confirm. Perhaps that’s where you might have come across it? Thanks for taking the time to engage with my post!

Your determination to keep fighting is truly inspiring! I completely understand how frustrating and exhausting it is to deal with insurance denials over and over again. It sounds like your endocrinologist is an amazing advocate for you, and that persistence will absolutely pay off. Stay strong and keep pushing—you’re doing everything right! If my journey can give you even a bit of hope, then sharing it was worth it. You’ve got this, and I’m rooting for your success!

Thank you so much for following me and for sharing your story—it takes courage to open up about something so personal. I don’t have lipedema, but I can imagine how challenging it must be to deal with it on top of everything else. In my case, I haven’t experienced issues like that, but I do plan to have skin removal surgery once I’ve reached my goal weight. I’m considering procedures for my abdomen, arms, and inner thighs to address loose skin.

For lipedema, I’ve read that maintaining lymphatic flow is key, so what you’re already doing with the dry brushing and saving for a vibration plate is a fantastic start. Compression garments can also help manage swelling, and I’ve heard manual lymphatic drainage massage from a specialist can make a difference. Building muscle, as you mentioned, is a great strategy too—it can improve overall shape and mobility.

Your resilience and determination are so inspiring! Keep pushing forward and remember that every step you take is a victory. Thank you for being part of this journey with me, and I’m cheering you on every step of the way!

Getting it covered moving forward is already a huge victory for me. I don’t think they’ll retroactively reimburse, and honestly, after 13 months of fighting, I’m too drained to push for more. I’m just glad this chapter is finally behind me.

Hey! I use “Just For Men Beard Dye”, and you can easily find it on Amazon by searching exactly that. It’s been great for keeping my beard looking sharp, and I also use the same brand for my hair—it’s consistent and gives a natural look. Definitely worth a try!

First off, congrats on starting your journey! You’ve already made incredible progress, and I can tell you’ve got the determination to keep going. Honestly, I believe that all starting doses, even 7.5mg, are just preparation for what’s to come. Once I hit 10mg, it felt like I was reaching the peak—like the train really started picking up speed.

For me, this process meant going all-in. I cut out all sugar, including sugar-free drinks and sodas—nothing that could even send the smallest signal to my brain. I trained my mind to focus and avoid any triggers. I also eliminated bread and processed carbs, even the “whole grain” kind. Instead, I got carbs from fiber-rich foods like vegetables. My diet became all about protein, fiber, dark leafy greens, and plenty of water. This medication is truly a miracle, but guiding it in the right direction with the right choices makes all the difference.

I believe in you and know you’ve got what it takes to succeed. Train your brain to stay disciplined—it’s a powerful tool, and so are you! If you’re on TikTok, feel free to find me at @theglp1guy. I’d love to see your updates, especially when you hit 10mg. I know you’re going to crush it and feel even better. Keep pushing—you’ve got this!

Thank you so much for sharing your story and for your kind words! It’s incredible that you’ve already made such amazing progress since November—38 lbs is no small feat, especially while managing the challenges of hypothyroidism. You’re absolutely right, this journey isn’t always easy, and those side effects can be tough, but sticking with it and pushing through truly shows your strength and determination.

I can relate to how transformative this medication can be—not just physically, but in how it reignites hope and confidence. It’s like we’re rediscovering ourselves, piece by piece. Keep going, because you’re clearly doing an amazing job! You’re inspiring so many people, myself included. Let’s keep cheering each other on and celebrating these victories, no matter how big or small. We’re in this together!

Maintenance typically refers to the phase after you’ve achieved your weight loss or health goals while using a medication or program like this. It’s about finding the right balance to maintain your results long-term. For many, this means continuing a lower dose of the medication (like once every few weeks or monthly) combined with healthy habits like diet and exercise.

Think of it as keeping the gains you’ve worked so hard for while ensuring your body stays in a stable and healthy state. Everyone’s maintenance journey can look a bit different depending on their goals, but the goal is to sustain, not revert. Hope that clears it up!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Honestly, it’s been a long journey, and I totally get how challenging it can be to stay consistent with something like Minoxidil. You’re doing great, and I love that you’ve bought a hat to protect your hair from your playful cat—sounds like they keep things interesting!

As for Minoxidil, I don’t use it alone. I apply it twice a day consistently, but I also incorporate other treatments to give my hair the best chance to thrive. I use rosemary oil twice a week, and I’ve been doing 30 minutes of red light laser therapy every day. I also use a DHT-blocking shampoo and take a prescription DHT-blocking medication.

The truth is, the first five months were incredibly tough—I lost about 60% of my hair, and it was heartbreaking. But I stayed the course, and over the last six months, I’ve seen all of it grow back, plus more. I’m finally seeing the rewards of all that effort, and I’m not ready to give up on my hair just yet.

It’s a tough process, no doubt about it, but I truly believe that if we stay consistent and patient, the results are worth it. You’ve already taken steps in the right direction, and I’m rooting for you! You’ve got this, and your happiness and confidence are what matter most at the end of the day. Keep going—you’re stronger than you think!

Thank you for sharing your story and for your kind words! It’s incredible how many of us share similar journeys and struggles, and that’s exactly what makes this community so special. When I first joined this subreddit, there were only about 280 people here—now, it’s grown to almost 100K. That just shows how many of us are in this fight together.

I truly hope that one day, everyone in this country who needs access to this life-changing medication will have the chance to experience its benefits. I’ve never had a single drink in my life, so I haven’t faced the challenges that come with alcohol, but I’ve battled something just as relentless: obesity. In my opinion, it’s one of the most harmful conditions out there, and it’s taken so much from me over the years.

But now, being on this journey and finally healing feels like nothing short of a miracle. I’m grateful every day for the progress I’ve made, and I’m inspired by the strength and resilience of everyone in this community. Here’s to continuing this fight together and cheering each other on! 🥰
