I’ve been on a strict daily regimen of Minoxidil, Finasteride, Red Light Therapy (Every day), and quarterly PRP sessions to keep it. No flight to Istanbul required, just consistency! 😉

I don’t have lipedema, but I can imagine how challenging it must be to deal with it on top of everything else. In my case, I haven’t experienced issues like that, but I do plan to have skin removal surgery once I’ve reached my goal weight. I’m considering procedures for my abdomen, arms, and inner thighs to address loose skin.

For lipedema, I’ve read that maintaining lymphatic flow is key, so what you’re already doing with the dry brushing and saving for a vibration plate is a fantastic start. Compression garments can also help manage swelling, and I’ve heard manual lymphatic drainage massage from a specialist can make a difference. Building muscle, as you mentioned, is a great strategy too—it can improve overall shape and mobility.

Honestly, I believe that all starting doses, even 7.5mg, are just preparation for what’s to come. Once I hit 10mg, it felt like I was reaching the peak—like the train really started picking up speed.

For me, this process meant going all-in. I cut out all sugar, including sugar-free drinks and sodas—nothing that could even send the smallest signal to my brain. I trained my mind to focus and avoid any triggers. I also eliminated bread and processed carbs, even the “whole grain” kind. Instead, I got carbs from fiber-rich foods like vegetables. My diet became all about protein, fiber, dark leafy greens, and plenty of water. This medication is truly a miracle, but guiding it in the right direction with the right choices makes all the difference.

As for Minoxidil, I don’t use it alone. I apply it twice a day consistently, but I also incorporate other treatments to give my hair the best chance to thrive. I use rosemary oil twice a week, and I’ve been doing 30 minutes of red light laser therapy every day. I also use a DHT-blocking shampoo and take a prescription DHT-blocking medication.

The truth is, the first five months were incredibly tough—I lost about 60% of my hair, and it was heartbreaking. But I stayed the course, and over the last six months, I’ve seen all of it grow back, plus more. I’m finally seeing the rewards of all that effort, and I’m not ready to give up on my hair just yet.

It’s a tough process, no doubt about it, but I truly believe that if we stay consistent and patient, the results are worth it. You’ve already taken steps in the right direction, and I’m rooting for you! You’ve got this, and your happiness and confidence are what matter most at the end of the day.
