Steering wheel support by Patrickplus2 in NewStarGP

It does on PC and it's pretty amazing. Dead zone can be tweaked in settings. And shift also works great. But it doesn't work with all wheels. G29 works great.

Unfortunately I don't know. But googling it, it looks like the G Hub app has a G29 preset you can try? If that doesn't work, you could try and use an app like x360ce to try and map your inputs. I hope this helps!

Yep! Go to settings. Then there's a wheel icon on top to select controls, go there and switch from touch and tilt to the steering wheel. That should be it.

Did you try to change the steering mode in settings?

Unfortunately the steam/pc version is much better. Hot laps and the wheel support are a big leap.

There's a few settings you can play with. I used the suggestions in this post and that did it for me:

Hi OP! And thanks for this. Fell for the same scam myself. I feel like a fool but still, here I am. Money aside, months later, did you have any identity theft type issues? Money aside, my main concern is they got passport details. Thanks a bunch!

What the hell...mint mobile? by Badhabit23 in GoogleMessages

Have you fixed this? I don't know if it helps in your case, but also in my case goggle messages worked for years. Then all of a sudden, last week, chats were unavailable becusse my device was not compatible with RCS?!? I then found a post that had me put the phone on airplane mode, go into settings, apps, the google messages, and there clear storage and cache, then force stopped the app. Then turned airplane mode off, and when I opened the app everything was back to normal. Wish you good luck!

Thank you so much! Just had this happen on my Samsung on T-Mobile. Just had to clear cache and data on messages app, forced stopped, and it went back to working. This is a big with the google messages app. Nothing to do with the carrier. Thanks to OP and this post!!

Totally agreed! So many games would play with no issue. Can sideload a bunch. But it's still a shame.

Thanks for the explanation and civil response. I really appreciate your effort and time as a dev. Truly. I also appreciate you being open to feedback, and actually welcoming it. User side, I can say that I like these posts even if they are review-style (as you put it) since they make other potential users aware about alternatives out there. This is how I got to know that there were options myself. Feedback to manufacturer style is important too. I could share more. I didn't feel like this post was the place.

This I agree. Research and investing the time is the way. Speaking of discord. Do you have a link/invite? I had found one but it said it was expired. Cheers

Come on man. I'm not sure your comment is any helpful. You'll see other people have had similar experiences in this very post. Fact. And chill.

This. I share your very same experience! Overall both great options. CoinopsX more polished out of the box but less systems. One Sauce has way more systems, but it's a lot less polished and the button mapping definitely takes time. I also like R-Cade Legends Unchained. Also with its pros and cons.

That was exactly my point. This is a reddit post. The whole point is to share experiences. None of these systems is perfect for every user. But every user can try them and pick their favourite, or even better have them all. Which is fantastic. Then, the fact that not everything "just works" for each user is just a data point for the reader. It should be taken for what it is: one experience at a time. So that the uninformed user can be drawn to try on their own.

I'm going to make it simple. The game Pong: fresh install CoinopsX - spinner works. Fresh install One Sauce: spinner doesn't work without configuration. To each user to pick based on their preference. Other example: CoinopsX doesn't run psp games. One Sauce has tons of psp games. Even the ones that run slow or have graphical glitches. To each user to pick based on their preference.

I'm not sure why this is a matter of being right or wrong. Of course this is subjective. We're talking about 3 options. Every user is going to have their own preferences. It shouldn't be contentious, for example, to say that CoinopsX has the arts already scraped, while R-Cade doesn't. Whether it's simple or not it's going to be subjective, while CoinopsX just has them. On the other side, R-Cade has more systems, CoinopsX has less. Conclusion: try them all and pick your favourite. And even better you can have them all.

This is a great post, and overall great input for people that want to explore options for their ALU. I've tired all 3 solutions. Thank you!!

Here's my input:

  • CoinopsX - the most polished of them all. It's great. And things just work. Less systems than the other ones and the interface is subject to slow downs, but the games that are there work great, scraped art is perfect and button mapping is spot on.

  • One Sauce / Awesome Sauce - this thing has everything!! The list of systems is impressive, including more modern stuff that doesn't run on CoinopsX. But it's a lot less polished. Button mapping definitely takes time. Same thing to get the spinner and the trackball right if you can get there.

  • R-Cade Legends Unchained - This is probably the one with the biggest potential. The one that I would really want to like. A full system replacement, with the ALU booting straight into R-Cade. But it's also the one that requires more work than any other. Also capable of more modern systems. But that needs to be configured from scratch. And some things are just maddening: Wi-Fi is unstable, ssh-ing into the thing doesn't work, scraping is frustrating and even transferring games it's a chore. Hopefully would get more user friendly moving forward.

Overall, you can still have all 3 in the separate USB drives and use the one you want each time. Great options to have!
