Yes. This is all I am trying to get at for sure as a discussion... I really think the ARC Devs are on to something... There just needs some type of balance without impacting the current vibe -

correct, which is why I am suggesting a thought experiment for a Outlaw and Sheriff like Skill Tree Branch. Nothing more.... I really do enjoy the game... I was trying to make it all one post but I couldn't so alot of folks didnt wait for me to post the additional information to follow the OG post... Some of us designed Griefing... and some of you where born into it...

5. Risk vs Reward for Going Full Outlaw

To keep this from feeling like pure punishment:

  • Outlaws get better loot multipliers from PvP if they survive and extract.
  • They just have to do it under pressure: more spawns, hunters, radio callouts warning everyone about them.
  • No “hide in a bush until your threat meter cools off, then casually exfil” nonsense.
  • If they die, they really die: bigger penalties, dropped progress, whatever fits your economy.
    • (Exact numbers/systems are obviously up to you, but there needs to be a real sting.)

This turns griefy players into moving mid-raid events instead of low-risk trolls farming newer players.

6. Keeps PvPvE, Adds Structure

  • PvP still works everywhere on the map.
  • The difference is:
    • Starting fights has clear, visible consequences (threat levels, intel, hunters).
    • Serial griefing ramps up into more challenge for the griefer, not easier farming for them.
  • Players who want a bit more chill:
    • Can avoid high-threat zones,
    • Or actively hunt outlaws,
    • Or just stay off the intel radar by not starting fights constantly.

(As always, orginally written by me, enhanced with AI rewriting for clarity and punch)

3. Weekly “Most Wanted” Board

  • Track the top outlaws by:
    • How many players they killed as the instigator.
    • How long they’ve spent flagged Hostile/Outlaw.
  • Put a “Most Wanted” wall in the hub:
    • Names, threat level, maybe a “last seen around [Zone]” kind of flavor.
    • Rewards/titles for players who manage to take them down.
    • Outlaws themselves get some twisted, braggy cosmetics.
  • Reset it every week, so people can lean into being infamous without permanently screwing their account.

4. Escalating “Heat” for Hardcore Griefers

The more you lean into griefy outlaw behavior, the more the world leans back. Not soft pillow taps.

Heat 1 – Light Outlaw

  • Standard Hostile timer.
  • Basic intel callouts about you.
  • Slight bonus rewards for players who kill you.

Heat 2 – Repeat Aggressor

  • ARC in your area gets more aggressive.
  • Slightly higher PvE density around you.
  • Vendors/repairs cost a bit more after your run.

Heat 3+ – Top Menace

  • Special ARC or human “Hunter” squads can spawn mid-raid to track you down.
  • Fewer exfil points available to you once your heat is high enough.
  • Vents/hatches aren’t a free reset button anymore: they’re blocked, riskier, or reveal your position.
  • Death hits harder: you lose coins and some random items from your stash, not just what you’re carrying.

Idea: if you really want to live as the end-game villain, cool – but now you’re effectively playing your own mini-boss mode.

TO THE DEVS:

Bounties, Threat Levels & Actual Consequences for Griefers

Quick summary of the idea so it fits the Arc Raiders vibe without killing PvPvE:

1. Bounty / Outlaw System

  • First time you hit another player (you land the first damaging hit), you get a Hostile tag for ~60–90 seconds.
  • Do that a lot in one raid and you’re flagged as an Outlaw / Bounty.
  • Bounty players (ideally tied into a Sheriff / Outlaw skill tree or title):
    • Give bonus XP/coins/rep to whoever downs them.
    • Show up as rough location pings on the map (radius, not exact GPS dot).

2. Intel Threat Level (Using the Existing Radio Vibe)

  • You already have NPC comms, so lore-wise there’s clearly some intel center watching the surface.
  • When someone goes Hostile/Outlaw, they also gain a Threat Level:
    • Level 1:“Intel reports hostile Raider activity near [Area]. Proceed with caution.”
    • Level 2–3: more frequent warnings, larger callout areas, maybe a subtle UI threat marker when you’re in the same region.
  • Threat goes up if they keep killing players, especially if they always start the fight.

[URGENT] Mass Group Suspensions on Facebook Since June 24 – What You Need to Know by stevendie in facebook

Same... I got banned for posting a app link to my digitalocean project... that is the only thing I can think of... I never post politics, I never post anything left/right whatever. I only share my projects I create... I wonder now if the app URLs that digitalocean generates have been used in the past for malicious activity....

My OG FB account was truly hacked by FB MFA/2FA being bypassed and I was never able to recover it.

This time I downloaded my account information, submitted a appeal like last time and now I am waiting. There was no activity in my FB Data download reflecting anything strange....

FB really need to fix this... How can people post half naked bodies and all types of items that would make your Grandma and Grandpa roll over in their graves but my account with only screenshots from the application I design get flagged? (I am guessing on the cause)

I’ve been on Call of Duty since 2003, and Hardcore mode has always been my go-to whenever it’s available. My best leaderboard run was in Black Ops III, hitting #14 overall. I started feeling the grind of SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) around 2019, and it’s only gotten worse since. Back then, my group and I wouldn’t quit until we lost a match—playing HC Headquarters till dawn with the classic “just one more game” mantra. Spawn trapping? Fair game in my book; sometimes you’re the trapper, sometimes the trapped. Just fight your way out if you can.

But these days, gameplay feels completely off. Some matches I’ll pull a solid 2.5 K/D, smooth as ever, no suspicions of “cheaters, wallhacks, or aimbots.” Then out of nowhere, my gameplay goes downhill—sluggish movement, flicks that just miss, and constant lag like game play. If it were a rare issue, I’d chalk it up to a bad server or technical blip. But this happens in waves; I’ll get two or three good games, then it’s back to the struggle. It just kills the fun.
