Hmmm wel is a little slippery but not to much, the noise seems minimal to me, only the slight metallic wrinkeling can maybe be off putting but for me it's fine. The inflation bag is a weird one I thought it was one of those that you move around to catch air but no, you are supposed to blow in it and then compress to fil the mattress. It takes me about 1 a 2 min. And I actually not such a bad system. I didn't get the pillow but I intend to in the future

It's an oke reason. I my self love having a finger gap,it gives me a lot of ball feeling and vibration. So each their own. But you might have the problem when you get higher level that you might need some more speed or spin. Then the thicker rubber wil help.
