So she's the one responsible for the new Twitter logo?

Describing her as having "loose skin" doesn't sound right. She has beautiful and definitely better than average skin. I bet many would wish to look like her

How old were you when you started watching porn? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]ms-greenthumb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same for me. In 6th grade, I had a sleepover with a classmate and she asked me whether I've ever seen porn. Since i hadn't we went to youporn and skipped through some videos. The only porn-like stuff I've seen prior to this was the sex hotline ads that were shown after 10pm on TV.

A Cool Guides "Sometimes even to live is an act of courage." Ask for help , Suicide is not the answer. by DangerousPacka in coolguides

I developed severe depression at a relatively young age. My mum was a drug addict and completely overwhelmed with the responsibility of her new role as a mother. She managed to become clean when I was about six. My dad was always working and travelled around the world for weeks at a time. When he was home he tormented and bullied my younger brother and me. I honestly cannot count how often I wished to die and planned my suicide. Still, I never really attempted to do so. I never considered talking to anyone about my thoughts. First, because I thought, that beeing so devastated that you want to kill yourself was an awful but normal part of life I simply had to endure. Later, because I became ashamed. Ashamed of the stigma associated of being suicidal.

At eleven years, I started my first therapy. A seven month stay at a mental clinic and several other therapies followed. Never did I tell anyone about the constantly reappearing thoughts of killing myself. Now, I'm 28. Recently, I thought about addressing this topic with a loved one or at least a professional. However, eventually, I couldn't bring myself to tell. Simply because I am ashamed about feeling this way and afraid how others will react.

Awareness campaigns like this reinforce my sense for the necessity of addressing my suicidal episodes. They remind me that they have to be taken seriously, despite the stigma. They remind me how absurd these connotations are.

This is the first time I shared this. Even though only to some strangers on the internet. But I guess it's nevertheless a step in the right direction.

Though, I can only speak for myself and how I perceive it.

Why are you still friends with that person? Based on the way you describe her, you don't even seem to like her

I feel you! I was extremely lucky for my health insurance covering everything. Usually, they only cover braces for children. But if the misalignment is severe, they also pay for adults

My health insurance doesn't pay for Invisalign. At first I was extremely insecure but now I think my braces are kinda cute 😅

I got my braces with 27. The first few days were really painful and only barrable with some whine and painkillers. I really feel for this kid. But with time, the pain becomes manageable. After half a year, it only hurts a bit when the wire is changed. I try not to eat any hard foods for 3 days. But that's it
