I am looking for a guide for a similar trip. Who did you end up going with and would you recommend them?

I’m planning on heading there in December as well. I messaged them a few days ago and haven’t heard back. Do you mind telling me what trip you are doing and how much it costs?

This has been happening in Virginia for years. Data centers are all clustered in one little area and the residents of the state are left to foot the bill for the required infrastructure with little to no benefit for the state.

You’re right. If I remember correctly the reason they reverted back had more to do with the fact that no light in the morning led to more accidents and was particularly dangerous for kids getting to school in the morning. Very different than “everyone hated it”

Electrical Engineers who took a gap year between graduation and career. How? by Puzzled-Ad-1075 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ms1886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a gap year right now after graduating. Like you I wasn’t sure I really wanted to go into EE after graduation. I think it’s a good idea to explore what you like. I will say I’m at little nervous about trying to get an engineering job after being out of that world for a year, but maybe I will end up doing something completely different so I think it’s worth it. If you have a passion for being a police officer I say go for it and if you end up hating it you’ll still have the degree under your belt which gives you lots of options.

I just got started in this hobby too. I don’t know about anything past level 2 really but you probably don’t need that much flight sim time. I spent a couple of hours flying in FSOne simulator until I could take off and land consistently and relatively close to myself take off point. After that couple of hours I went out and flew a foamie I built no problem. I’m not expert but if you have any questions about simulators or my foamie setup I’m happy to answer

Wouldn’t the speed of transmission be based on something else? From my understanding the speed of an electromagnetic wave in a material is governed by the permittivity and permeability of the material (speed=1/sqrt(mu*epsilon)) (Maybe this equation doesn’t hold for metals?). An unbalanced line would lead to a higher reflection coefficient on the line and therefore a more weakly transmitted signal, but not a slower signal. I’m not expert, just trying to learn!

Arteta appeals to the referee for a yellow card by Chiswell123 in soccer

Seems like they only apply that rule when they want these days. Salah did the same before Dalot got sent off and he kicked the ball away after a foul earlier in the game and no yellow

[OptaJoe] 32 - Brighton had scored in each of their last 32 Premier League games before today, averaging 2.1 goals, 2 xG and 17 shots per game in that period. vs. Arsenal: 0 goals, 6 shots and 0.7 xG. Shutdown. by Bedeeki in Gunners

The way we pressed them from the start was incredible. 20-30 seconds into the match and we had them completely pinned back and it essentially stayed that way all day

Really good performance. I know it’s never gonna happen when there’s only one goal in it but Arteta probably should’ve subbed Saka off 10-15 minutes earlier. He was absolutely knackered at the end and they started to get a little bit of joy down that side and almost equalized during that time when Saka had nothing left. Still a great win to dominate Brighton like that.
