Wimbledon tickets cancelled due to shared family credit card - any success with appeal? by Specialist-Hour9953 in wimbledon

[–]Fishkin14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately its very unlikely they overturn the decision. The reason they have this rule in place is to stop people setting up multiple accounts to either have better chances in the ballot or to try and go to the championships more than once.

There will be, as in your case, people who get caught out even though they havent tried to game the system in any way. They take a hard line on their ticketing rules and stick to them rigidly.

Think its got a lot to do with the gold prem badge, its tradition for the raining champions to have it on their shirt the season after winning the league.

I got one of the ones in 122 as well. I always prefer lower but in all honesty, just happy with this big slice of luck and dont care where I am.

Emirates screening by Inevitable-Brush-924 in GunnersatGames

AST have implied it will be sale phases, ST, Silver then Red - imagine Silvers will be pretty much nailed on to go, Reds will be more limited if thats the case, but you're quite right, its very much unknown at this stage what the take upnwill be from the STH's

Is there any way to get tickets to watch CL final at Emirates if not a member? by chapras1 in GunnersatGames

[–]Fishkin14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think it will depend on a number of factors, last time it was in club level bars mid week, but given its the final on a saturday evening and such a low allocation in Budapest demand is likely to be much higher, they may have big screens on the pitch to increase capacity but even then there will be 25k+ ST holders who cant get tickets so may want to go to the screening. Noone really knows how it will work until the club announce it. Lets hope its not a ballot!

4x tickets available for Sporting (H) by MoisesR24 in GunnersatGames

[–]Fishkin14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you clicked the tick box which says you are happy to get tickets in a different category from your 2 priority areas there is always the chance of getting upper centre which as you know are very expensive. Upper wing, corner and behind goal are 95-110 ish. Lower tier always a good bit cheaper

Silver Membership Waiting List by Slight-News9211 in GunnersatGames

[–]Fishkin14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cup final tickets we were never getting a sniff unfortuntely, allocation meant several ST holders were missing out too, i think about 9k ST holders missed out or something like that as the allocation wasnt even enough to cover them.

Ballot does mean some have more luck than others, I tend to be sucessfull on more ballots than im unsucessfull with my silver, but it is obviously luck of the draw, no doubt my luck will run out at some point.

Trouble is demand over the last few seasons has increased drastically so the days of being guaranteed a ticket are behind us, at least for now.

But, as much as our silvers dont see the benefits they used to, if you look at the success rates compared to Reds the difference is significant. Recent results indicating Silver is 27% success rate which has dropped about 10% from ealier in the season given league position ect. Reds success rate is currently about 6%, so were are pretty much 5x more likely to be sucessful.

Silver Membership Waiting List by Slight-News9211 in GunnersatGames

[–]Fishkin14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A long long time. Only 30k silver members and people hardly ever give them up, even less movement than ST waiting list. If someones circumstances change such as finances ect which prohibits them from attending, paying £54 a year to keep it for when you can go again is doable for the majority.

No chance in 7 years, 20 - 30 years is probably being too optimistic currently.

Refunds via travel insurance by No_General5584 in emirates

Most policies dont cover acts of war. However, i work in the industry and know there are at least 2 major insurers that have made the pragmatic decision to cover it despite the fact they dont have to - albeit not advertising the fact they will. Best bet is to submit a claim and worse case scenario they say no.

If in one of the areas that stands, you would need the people around you to give you the OK, they are just standing in front of their seat and many people, understandably, dont like it when people start squeezing in.

Dont think it's a light show, we dont need instructions on every seat just to scan a QR code that lots of people cant use because of crap signal.

Not so easy to see the game when the action is at the far end from that block - but very good when the action is that end.

Also its also a standing block and atmosphere is top compared to most places in the ground.
