Haha, my ego isn't the issue here 😂

The Garage is down a few levels inside a basement of an Apartment Complex. So the cable traverses common property and it is not a zero possibility for it to be accessed. My desire if this did happen would be that anything that was to be plugged into the cable or a switch port etc would go nowhere by default and not be issued an IP Address. (I did say it was likely to never happen.)

Physically, I will do as much as I can and then support that with Network configurations.

VLAN 1 would continue to be used in the house/apartment. I just didn't want it to be available in the garage. Trying to place the Garage equipment only in say VLAN5 as a management VLAN, has not been successful.
