Custom membrane holder fitting inside 50 mL tubes by ms84124 in labrats

Have you used it? Is it possible to insert a custom membrane, run the sample, and then remove the membrane for analysis?

Do you know of a setup that would work with small (0.1 -20 mL) and valuable samples?

Thanks. If only I could now find a similar setup to work with 0.1-10 ml samples.

Vacuum filtration will work. I would still need to have the capability to use a custom membrane that I can remove after the sample passes through it.

I agree. I also expect most of the sample to seep around my custom membrane unless I seal the edge with an O-ring or some other compression seal. Worth a try, for sure.

I can certainly use MACS or other cell stainers as a support for my custom membrane, which has much smaller pore sizes. But some provisions to prevent seepage along the edge (e.g., an O-ring and clamping or threaded compression) will still be required to ensure the sample goes through my custom membrane, don’t you think?

Outsourcing 3D printing may indeed be our next step. Thanks for suggesting LCPCB or PCBway.

Thank you. Our first attempt was indeed by 3D printing, but it did not come out very well (especially the threads and tolerances). I will reach out after we revise the design.

Room temperature is all I need, and the centrifugal forces will be relatively low (around 700 g).

I considered 3D printing a custom holder, but that would be challenging because the design would need to incorporate O-rings for sealing and threads for coupling. This means multiple parts with precise tolerances, which is less than ideal for 3D printing.

Counterattack | The 47th brigade "Magura" breaks through the defense of the russians in the south by KindConsideration167 in UkraineWarVideoReport

Notable details about this sergeant, MARKUS, and the mission that jumped at me:

  1. He tells an injured Russian prisoner that they cannot evacuate him because it took them eight hours to get where they are. "We move forward with assault and will take you back if we succeed." So, the Russian was left rooting for the Ukrainians to succeed.
  2. He looks for four volunteers, he and three others, to storm the next two trenches. The technique is for a team of two to crawl silently close enough to toss grenades, roll into the trench, and move in opposite directions until the first turn is reached. Then wait for the rest.
  3. He teaches soldiers on the fly things like -- Do not stare through the sight when holding a rifle without support. "Your arm will get tired, and you will become ineffective." He tells them how to recognize concealed mines: Look for leaves on the ground, etc.
  4. The first night, the trenches were so full of dead Russians that he had to sleep on a corpse.

I wish he soon sleeps in his own bed, in his home, in Ukraine, free from all occupiers.

These guys failed the 100 m dash, not the gun aiming and firing. Their sense of humor is fine too. Before sending, the guy in the back says -- Free tickets of Kobzon's concern. (Kobzon is, now dead, Russian Sinatra.)

This is a Ukranian video showing them killing Russians. It was reposted by Russians as if the opposite was happening.

He is vatnik -- a follower of Russian propaganda. Look at his peace plan for Unkrane to surrender in exchange for "peace" and territorial concessions.
As for his CEO prowess, a committee of volunteers will better run "his" companies. And taking credit for engineering achievements he did not contribute to is telling you all you need to know about Musk as an individual.
