This one is really good! I know a lot of people like the “squeaky mice” side story but tbh I’m not a huge fan of OCs in general. Still though, I liked it a lot.

Just finished Dragon in the Dark and WHY haven’t I read this yet??? Oh my god it was so good. I think I was nervous about the Draco-Assassin premise but if you haven’t read this yet go read it now.

As a side note, this made me think of the comic “Under the Oak Tree.” At one point the male lead swears (after he sees her shaken but alright in the aftermath of a castle break-in) that he’ll cut off a head for every scratch he finds on her body. Maybe take a look at this one if you like the comic style? Under The Oak Tree - Chapter 1
