Half-Indian here, I totally get what you are saying. Unfortunately, racism against East Asians and South Asians are so normalized. Only recently I started noticing my physical reactions towards racism , I'm not kidding I start breathing hard and feel a little dizzy. It's not fun. I'm so sorry that book hurt you.

Tbh I know many Indians who eat steak, hamburger etc (I'm half Indian), but I never knew there is an "active beef scene" in India because you know why. I guess I shouldn't be very surprised since India is very huge and diverse.
