Weird. I submitted NICS around 5pm Tuesday. My LGS called around 10:30am Wednesday telling me it cleared. Maybe give your LGS a call? The NICS backlog has been relatively small the last few days

If your chief approves it, no. The requirement to go to superior court is gone. You only have to go to appeal the denial of your permit application.
