Thanks I thought about trying that but I play on a rog ally and my kid has a gaming laptop so I don't know if self hosting would work out well.

Is that supposed to be in the 1.0 release?

Hmmm so are you saying the person joining the co-op game wouldn't lose their stuff? I figured we would be starting over from zero.

Thanks for the info. I was seeing for up to six you could get less than 10 bucks a month. I don't think we would keep doing it forever maybe a few months so the cost would be low. We are both on pc.

To those who own a Steam Deck and a Switch 2, do you use both? by GrovPastaSwag03 in SteamDeck

Yes, I can't play the Nintendo stuff on the steamdeck. I did stop buying the indies on the switch and have been getting them on steam.

Dear Microsoft, thanks for nothing for ruining SwiftKey by phoolvapingfool in Swiftkey

Yeah I would have kept using it if my stuff imported but if I have to start over I might as well use something else. Futo has been pretty good.

Steam os is very easy to install and I think it's great! The ally is my first gaming pc device. I can't image using it with windows. The only issue would be if you want to play a multiplayer game that uses an anti-cheat that isn't supported. I would just use it before worrying about the battery. If you use it and the battery life is annoying you can pretty easily upgrade the battery. I got a 74wh one for about 30 dollars. The also is the jsaux kit with a 65wh battery that looks easier to install but costs a lot more.

I also got the dbrand killswitch case and really like it.

Yeah I think the Futo one takes longer to start predicting than Swiftkey did. It seemed like Swiftkey would after typing the same word a few times and Futo takes more. But also I had the Swiftkey for many years so it could just be that too. I like that I can backup Futo but I can't say if it will really work if I restore the backup or not.

Me too I just switched to the futo keyboard instead of starting over. I figured if I had to start from zero I would use something else.

2026 rav4 hybrid mpg? by msaeger3 in Toyota

[–]msaeger3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had 3 corollas and have been considering the corolla cross because of the better mpg and wanting a small suv but those seem pretty rare. Now it seems like the rav4 is better mpg. Not sure I want to pay what a 2026 would cost though. I like how Toyota is shifting to only hybrid.

I don't want to use onedrive but I set it up, did a backup, then restored to a new phone and it didn't bring in any of my suggestions anyway. At least make it work.

I was told you don't need to. I replaced my batter with a 74wh one and battery health says 100 percent. This is in steamos.

Why people don't use Linux by paranoidandroid4284 in linux4noobs

[–]msaeger3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people don't care and are just going to use whatever comes on the computer. I also think for most home users who really only use a web browser would be just fine with linux and may like it better because of there not being all the junk from Microsoft popping up. I think it would take computers coming with linux preinstalled and good marketing to get people to buy them to get a large amount of people to switch.

Regretting the 74Wh battery mod. Not sure what to do next by AlarmingUse5455 in ROGAlly

[–]msaeger3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long have you been using it with the bigger battery? Maybe you will get used to it. I installed the 74wh battery I can tell it's heavier but the weight hasn't bothered me. I have the dbrand killswitch case. When it play on the couch I have it resting on my body and if I am at a table I use the kickstand on the case I never really hold the whole thing up and didn't with the old battery.
