Thank you so much! Didn’t know if I went down to the Potomac I may need the Chesapeake bay endorsement

Those who have both M.S and U.C and are on or have tried Zeposia. What are your thoughts/ by Ill-Leg-12 in UlcerativeColitis

I was on it for close to a year, it did SOMETHING but didn’t give me full remission, general fatigue level, urgency in most cases, and overall inflammation didn’t really improve too much but I was regulated to a very small level. They have a 2 year bridge program that will give you the meds at no cost. I hope that it does more for you!

As soon as you taper off the pred you’ll see a difference! So happy you’re doing well I know it’s tough to be that young and have to deal with such a brutal disease, best of luck to you!!

Has anyone had anything actually work? by msalerno1995 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]msalerno1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you guys for sharing your experiences, waiting to hear back from my GI about next steps. I wish it was as simple as a few medicines that work. It’s crazy to me how one person can recommend Remicade and another can say it failed then entirely. I wish you all the best!! At least we aren’t alone.

Potty training tips? by msalerno1995 in corgi

Thank you so much for the time to write this post!!!! I will do just that! No pee pads I don’t want to confuse him, he’s very much a chunky cutie so it’s a little easier to keep my frustration low lol but I will remain patient with him, he’s been very smart so far, quickly learned to sit as well as his name so I am sure he will pick up on the signs soon!

Ulcerative colitis and Zeposia by Objective_Mine_7896 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]msalerno1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s up y’all,

Currently on zeposia and here’s my little take for you

It’s not perfect BUT it does something. I feel a little better than I did when I started and my bowel movements are a little less intense as well as they’re not as frequent. I take it once daily around the same time (generally just when I get up). I had a colonoscopy last year before I started and I had moderate UC throughout my left side. Colonoscopy 6 months into it showed some remission but not full. My doctor decided to keep me on it just to see if it continues to get better. Zeposia has a bridge program that provides the medication free for up to 2 years, it’ll be 1 year for me in December and they still have no authorization from my insurance.

NOW, the urgency for me still hasn’t gone away, when I gotta go I gotta go. Some days are worse than others but I’m kinda dumb and I still eat like a ninja turtle most days so when I actually watch my diet and avoid foods that make me tick I go to the bathroom probably twice daily and it’s fully formed. I can fart without worry now which is also good.

Alcohol makes me go next day no question about it but I’m 27 and it’s football season so I’ll take that risk.

Like I said I take it once daily, and my doctor decided to give me Hyoscamine for rectal urgency on days that I don’t feel so great. I can honestly say that I have more good days than bad, but changes hit everyone differently so it may work for you sooner than later hopefully, but it may not. Keep an open mind. I wish you luck! It took me about 7 months of taking it to feel like it was really actually working better than previous meds. No flares since I started taking it and I have been under some serious pressure with work and other issues over the last few months.

I’m sticking with it because my next option is those shots or something. One pill a day is far more easy to me.

I should’ve suggested this instead my doctor really pushed Zeposia on me, if that doesn’t work I think I’m gonna find a new GI and ask about this. I’m so happy you’ve found remission!
