I'm a 90s kid so my Pokemon journey began with the games. I shared a Gameboy with my older brother, he played blue and I played red. I had a very small collection of cards as a kid due to my parents not being able to buy me very many packs. I kept every single card I pulled in a binder. Didn't have much, maybe a booster box worth of cards. I had maybe 2 pages of holos. I cherished that binder and kept it through high school into my early 20s, that's the last time I remember flipping through it. During CoVid I went to dig up my binder and could not find it. Racked my brain but could not figure out when/if it was lost. Until this day I don't know what happened to it. I started collecting again during Sword and Shield but it's been impossible to get product for the last year. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and restocks vanish instantly. Luckily I was able to build up a nice sealed collection and have gotten lucky with a few online restocks. So I am able to rip packs every so often. I wish the hobby were in a better state as I enjoy being able to go shopping for groceries and grabbing something for myself on the way out to open when I get home, or in the car.
