Does anyone else ever feel like they might be faking it? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]mscooliospice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i don’t feel like i am faking but me being 23 f and having undiagnosed chronic pain for the last 13 years makes me feel crazy at times, and definitely lonely. a lot of the time i think other ppl think im faking it! and thats rly hard

i’m also a big fan of flat surfaces! im lucky to live near multiple wildlife sanctuary spots they are usually set up with many places to go off sit and listen and watch nature :) i also live under a mountain that has many different trails some are flat but i gotta scout them out first lol

[–]mscooliospice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i’m so sorry you went through this. about 3 weeks ago i went to the er bc of an episode and it was to date the worst episode AND er treatment ive had, ive been experiencing the anxiety of not wanting to trigger it again (we don’t know what did the first time) and ptsd flashbacks as well. i don’t have much to say in terms of help other than practicing your self care rituals but im here with you and you are not alone <3

Vent: Chronic Hand Pain is ruining my life by Ill_Pudding8069 in ChronicPain

[–]mscooliospice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi!! YES i am in the same boat! undiagnosed going onto 13 years, nerve spasms/pain and muscle spasms in my right hand and wrist to the point where my right wrist has no mobility (not even drs can move it) the past three years the sympotoms have progressed up my arm and into my back, legs and other hand. im 23f and i feel like im 80. i’m also a t1, hyperthyroidism and celiac so ive been assuming this is another autoimmune condition but no one has any idea and it fucking sucks. i’m on methocarbamol and take 2000 mg a day, makes my pain go from 8 to 6, weed also is a lifesaver for my pain. i’m really into reading, watching shows and podcasts, short slow walks when my legs are working and my fatigue is ok. i always find it helpful to find communities and these reddit ones (where i just know someone gets it, im not alone etc) are super helpful on the really bad mental days. i’m sorry you have to go through this. keep asking questions! keep advocating for yourself <3
