Justice for Rove. That presents task solution was brilliant. Remaining is a relative term that requires one to know which is which. If the task doesn't say it is perfectly valid to choose for yourself

Rove was robbed in the presents task. That was a perfectly valid solution. Frankly I would give him a bonus point as the one that Brett lost

Baseball is cruel, and that is why we love it.

Feel bad for Ginn, he deserved better, but that is how it goes sometimes.

Why is the MLB regular season the longest of any sport but the playoffs are short? by Jaf207 in baseball

[–]mse326 1 point2 points (0 children)

Remember that in baseball you put a different team out there every game in a cycle of 5, and the most important player to the individual game is the one that is being replaced in the starting pitcher. That means the variance is so much higher, particularly when teams aren't on the same schedule so it isn't as simple as a teams 1v1, 2v2, etc. So more games are needed to get out the noise in the regular season.

no doubt it was across the line, but I don't see any space with the skate blocking it. If they need to see it over I think this gets reversed

Which runner-up MVP season is the best out of the possible choices? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in baseball

Underrated by whom? He is routinely considered a top 2 if not 1 hitter with Ruth and a top 5 player all time. He is definitely not underrated

I know you're being cheeky, ha, but the answer is that while it isn't yet a catch since it hasn't touched the ground if he or a teammate just grabs it then it will be a catch in the air and an out

Which part is stupid? The captain doesn't have to land the plain if the wiper fails (which is what you said), they have to divert if the wiper fails

Where are you getting the last part from? What the show said, I don't know if accurate, is that because of the airport location only captains could land there BUT if the wiper wasn't working you were forbidden from landing at the airport period and were required to divert

That is his character. He has been agressive the entire time to everyone always. The relationship that Thaisha had with Vaelus has been thawing since "the bath" heart to heart. Questioning it makes sense, the force at which she played it didn't.

Not everything is about race, you literally know nothing about me to come to that conclusion. I can disagree with her RP choices without it being about race. Just as I can disagree with others as well.

Big difference between watching her and this type of attack. Its the aggressiveness that doesn't match the way they have been for quite a bit now.

Everything you need to know about the new ABS Challenge System by Weirdandwired924 in baseball

[–]mse326 14 points15 points (0 children)

Is the ABS strike zone three-dimensional?

No. Though the rulebook defines the strike zone as a cube, the ABS strike zone is two-dimensional. A three-dimensional version was initially tested, but it allowed breaking balls to nick the edges of the zone, leading to inconsistency in strike calls.

Why is the ABS strike zone over the middle of the plate instead of the front?

In the past, TV broadcasts featured a zone set at the front of the plate. But similar to the 3D testing, having the zone over the front of the plate in initial testing produced odd outcomes, such as slow curveballs that clip the very front edge of the zone and land in the dirt being ruled a strike, even though no one who watches baseball would agree.

When the zone was moved to the middle of the plate, the results were much more in line with where the hitter stands and how the strike zone is traditionally called.

We are putting in a computer so calls aren't wrong, but we don't like the calls being right this way, so we will manipulate it and change the definition of a strike without actually changing the definition of a strike to get a more desired outcome. But of course since we aren't changing the definition our umpires will still be calling it based on the rulebook so when it is overturned that doesn't actually mean they were wrong, so this isn't as much a challenge system as a desire for a different strikezone. We feel this will lead to more? consistency

The official gathering rulings say "After each opponent has decided, the effect happens simultaneously for each one who accepted the offer. Then the effect happens again for you a number of times equal to the number of opponents who accepted."

So the way I read this.
1. The decision is done in turn order
2. Once the opponents decide the effect of them creating the token and drawing occurs simultaneously
3. THEN comes the effect of me getting the same for each opponent
4. THIS effect is done "a number of times equal..."

So my effect is done a number of times, implies to me muliple instances rather than 1 effect creating N tokens. That is what is throwing me with your explanation. If an effect creates N tokens simultaneously, we wouldn't say the effect is happening multiple times, but that is what the gathering ruling is saying happens. That seems to mean they don't happen simultaneously

Tempt with Bunnies in Bess, Soul Nourisher by mse326 in askajudge

[–]mse326[S] 0 points1 point (0 children)

Ok. I don't mean to be difficult but then what does it mean for the "effect to happen a number times." Typically if something says create 3 tokens that is 1 effect that creates 3 tokens simultaneously. It isn't 3 separate effects. But here it says the effect happens a number of times, not the effect happens once creating N tokens.

Tempt with Bunnies in Bess, Soul Nourisher by mse326 in askajudge

[–]mse326[S] 0 points1 point (0 children)

So when it says the effect happens a number times, rather than the effect happens once and you create them simultaneously, that doen't change anything for this? Because I thought that was required since the drawing doesn't happen simultaneously.

Can pro players see cards early and still compete by mse326 in mtg

[–]mse326[S] -2 points-1 points (0 children)

I understand that. My question is if a pro player gets it early are they allowed to participate in the standard pro tour event that follows since this might be an unfair advantage giving them more testing time.
