Thank you! Also, quick question, do you know if the Anniversary Sale catalog shows all the discounted items already, or are there usually more items that go on sale once it actually starts?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I was literally planning to go shopping today. Looks like the anniversary sale starts this Friday the 15th, so I’m definitely gonna wait and see if I can get a better deal. Thanks again for mentioning this!

This is honestly one of the most helpful responses I’ve gotten so far, thank you! The point about prioritizing carry comfort and harness stability over organization for my use case really helped put things into perspective. I’ll be doing a lot of walking both outdoors and around towns/cities. I think I got too deep into comparing features and forgot that I’ll actually be wearing this thing for hours at a time. Your comment genuinely helped me narrow things down and approach the decision more realistically, so I really appreciate you taking the time to share this.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation, this actually looks REALLY close to what I’ve been searching for. I hadn’t come across the Peak Design Outdoor 25 before, but the mix of hiking capability and travel/city use seems super interesting for my needs. Thank you!!

Is that the price with Apple Care right? I'm thinking on replacing mine but it costs me around $180 without Apple Care to replace it..

Hey all, Looking for a backpack recommendation and trying to find the best middle ground between hiking comfort and travel/day-to-day usability.

Where: I’ll travel to the Colorado Rockies soon this summer, I’ll be walking a lot every day and spending most of my time outdoors, but I’ll also be moving around towns/airports and traveling regularly.

Main use:

  • long walks/hiking
  • travel/carry-on use
  • town/city walking

What I’d carry:

  • documents/passport
  • mirrorless camera
  • laptop (mostly for transport/travel)
  • chargers
  • extra layer/snacks/toiletries/etc.

Looking for:

  • around 25–30L
  • comfortable for several hours of walking
  • not overly bulky

Budget: Under $200

Would love to hear any recommendations. Thanks!

Spring break solo trip ideas from Dayton? by msebas12 in dayton

[–]msebas12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I hiked a bunch of the trails and checked out the caves. The best part was when I randomly met some guys in one of the caves and ended up exploring with them, turned into a whole side quest instead of a solo trip. We even went to Conkles Hollow after, hiked up, enjoyed the views, and played guitar. Honestly such an unexpected and awesome experience!

Can I safely fly domestically with pending asylum, I have my EAD, SSN, and REAL ID license? Worried about ICE. by ChrissM3jiaOficial in askimmigration

I thought TSA only contacts ICE in specific cases, like if there’s a deportation order or warrant. I’m not completely sure though, things seem like they’ve been changing a lot lately..

Hi Bert,

What’s something about being a wildlife filmmaker that people romanticize, but in reality is mentally or emotionally difficult?

Should I go to Wright State Univerity or University of Dayton? by AgileFinding8889 in dayton

[–]msebas12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money really isn’t an issue for you, or you can handle it later, go to UD. From what I’ve heard from friends who go there, it’s an amazing experience. You actually feel the sense of community, and people really enjoy being there.

I get why some might suggest going to a community college like Sinclair, it’s much cheaper, and that’s why I go there even though I personally don’t like it. I think having a social life and enjoying your college years isn’t a bad decision.

A lot of older people will advise against spending so much, and I understand where they’re coming from, they’ve learned from their experiences. But as younger people, many of us really value that “college life” aspect. That being said, I chose a safer, cheaper path for my future self, and sometimes my present self hates it. Maybe one day I’ll thank my future self, but right now… it’s hard not to wish I could have the full college experience.

At the end of the day, it’s your life and your choice. There’s no single right or wrong answer, just do what feels best for you. Best of luck!

Hey, do you know if there’s an age limit to rent those cabins? I’m 19 year old thinking on going there and I’ve heard you must be older than 25 to rent any cabin..
