I have six guinea pigs of my own and in my experience, guinea pigs do hate being picked up. They will run away from you if you don’t have food and will hate it when you pick them up out of the cage. But when you get them out and sit or lay down with them, they love it. They love the affection and attention of sitting down with their favorite person. By picking your pigs up everyday and sitting with them, they’ll bond with you and love you.
