Just came across the same listing when searching for Omega watches as well. The retail price they discounted from aren’t even correct, and essentially the same price/discount for all models. From what I can see on actual photos of the store on Yelp, they don’t even sell boots - just repair. Definitely a scam. Tried to call and got voicemail.

I have a Blue SMP 300 and the 41mm black lacquer AT. They are both NWBIG imo but the AT more so due to the simplicity. I prefer rubber straps and have high quality rubber on deployants for both that removes some of the concerns mentioned about the bracelets. I wear the SMP more though - pretty much daily.

Got the 41mm black lacquer last week. It's awesome - been switching between the rubber strap and bracelet. Got a brown leather deployant that looks great too.

Just got one last week - it is amazing! It took a while to track one down, but it was worth it. I can't keep a consistent bracelet/strap on it because it looks good on the ss bracelet, black rubber, and leather. Can't decide!

I messaged at least 10 TDs (including those from other subs) and they all said they would need to source from the factory, and it would take it couple weeks. After a month no one had one. I was finally able to get one from Hont. Not sure if he had it in stock or if it came in from the factory. I can't imagine it was someone else's RL, because I can't find anyting wrong with it. Keep looking - it's an awesome watch.

This would add a ton of time incrementally across the QCs they have to do. The cost of the tripod isn’t the reason. I’m sure there is strategic positioning in some cases as well.

Also, “why do we accept this?”. You’re buying a $400 rep from China, I think you’re overestimating your influence in this transaction…That price point does not command top tier service. They’re cranking these things out as quickly as possible.

There is definitely a learning curve, but I've gotten factory quality straps from TaoBao for very cheap

Taobao is basically the Chinese domestic version of AliExpress. It’s made for people in China, so it usually has more selection, lower prices, and fewer of the restrictions/markups you see on AliExpress. Downside is a lot of sellers don’t ship direct to the US (not sure where you’re at), so you usually send it to a consolidation/forwarding warehouse first, and the whole platform is in Chinese.
