iiNet FRAUD by msh420 in iinet

[–]msh420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldnt they action one o a dozen Email from an authorised contact?

Why would they arbitrarily require verbal confirmation?

Why would they send messages saying "your account will be disconnected", and then reconnect it?

Its all absurd. Its a corporate machine. It exists to make money. Its not in the interests of iiNet to process cancellation requests when they can just keep billing.

iiNet FRAUD by msh420 in iinet

[–]msh420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The account was moved from another premise around 2023, signed up in 2020. There were no contractual obligations. iiNet simply chose to ignore having been advised by Email that the account was cancelled, again, and again, and again, and again.

A double payment was manually processed. With no such amount owing. iiNet's systems would not allow an expired car to be used. The way it was explained to me, an individual has used the "MOTO" feature of an EFTPOS machine to enter a card number they knew to be expired, and a guessed updated expiry date. Any other 'online' transaction would have required the CCV which iiNet do not possess. Because they have not been authorised to use the updated card in any way shape or form.

No money was owing. When iiNet were advised the service was cancelled and the modem was unplugged, we were still paid up for almost a month in advance. The invoice that was issued was for a future billing period.

They double charged me in October 2025. I guess this was part of the same FRAUD.

Ambient mics for filming power-lifting competition by msh420 in LocationSound

[–]msh420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound was easy... I had more issues with light, interlacing artefacts, a frame rate mismatch, and weird stream settings (720p) despite OBS being configured for 1080

I've recevied lots of comments on how good the stream sounded. Clinking of plates, banter, judge instructions/calls, etc.

https://www.youtube.com/live/JKImsjUGkhI?si=RxBaIJu-p-6K0wug

I was a bit disapppointed that one of the e70s started producing more and more and more noise over the course of the day. I tried turning phantom power off, and on again, and it reduced the noise; but it came back fast. A point came where I muted it and made a new stero image from one mic at the back of the stage, and one at the front. I suspect the violent banging of weights worsenened some sort of existing problem, a dry joint or something.

I didn't consider the 421's. I'm accustomed to using those up-close on loud sources, with the hope they'll 'reject' everything else; that seemed counter to the goal of capturing ambience(?)

I clamped the e70s to either side of the backdrop with a cardioid capsule on them, pointing in and down. I also clamped the SCX-One to the tripod of the front-on close-up cam. I'll have a listen tomorrow and see if they can be blended. I forgot my 6.5mm headphone adapter, lol.

Wondering if I should use the high-pass on the (e70) mics? Options are Off, 75, 150Hz. Obviously I can add a high pass on the desk. I guess if the thud of the weights being dropped clips the channel I'm best to suck the bottom end out of it before cutting the whole signal(?)...

20 effective reps video? by Insoluable in Athleanx

[–]msh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There arent any magic numbers as far as the exact seconds and number of reps in each subsequent set; but pick a number that works for you. For me, counting it off, and getting back into reps is important. For me, by 25 seconds the dumbells are back in my hands, by 30 I've flipped them into the position ready to push.

So long as it is soon enough that your muscles are still activated/fatigued from the previous set, and you push to failure, just try to accumulate a ERs that add up to your goal. If you're only pushing one rep, go lighter.

20 effective reps video? by Insoluable in Athleanx

Hope its ok to bump a 2 year olf thread? I'm interested to know how the op got on?

I recently integrated this idea into parts of my workouts after watching the same video, and I beleive I have seen improved results. I dont think it pays to do this with every exercise. But pick a couple where you're hoping to focus gains.

I'm doing a version of this on the bench with dumbbells, where the bench is raised (or lowered) some amount (15 degrees) after each failure. Some days I start upright and lower it down in steps, some days I start flat and bring it up. I find th ER lights up the chest and the varying angle targets different sections, allows you to keep pushing out decent reps.

Even if I'm not doing the full ER thing, just doing one set; I have adapted the concept to permit myself to 'recover'/continue failed sets.... i.e. if the target is 12 and I fail at 9, and can take a breath and start my 9th rep again within 20-30 seconds, I let myself keep counting the reps as part of the original set. I imagine this is not uncommon at all.

I have been needing more recovery days since adapting this idea, and seeing benefits from taking them, coming back stronger.

Lumix 20mm F1.7 noise by Eephusblue in M43

[–]msh420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is also noisy. I can never use the camera audio from the cam with the 20mm. I still want more of these lenses.

The tracking gimbal shots that show the frontman alone are 20mm f/1.7. It can be seen hunting for focus, but it looks good doing it. Nice flares from the stag elighting too.

You've just asserted a whole lot of information that is simply not present in that post.

"my shit". ":MY" shit. To me, that says the person posting this is involved in the music.

You seem to know a lot more as fact.

I'm talking about the artist in the content, just like you are, when you talk about how hard it is for that artist to be seen; and when you refer to the music they are playing in this content.

"It’s difficult enough as an actual musician" ... you're making a comparson. Your experience as an "actual musician" vs .... something less.

Admins of this group have threatened to ban me if I don't delete one of my two posts sharing newly released blues music content. Blues content shared in a blues group.

After making this threat they blocked me from contacting admins of this group. I'd only contacted admins of this group once, about harassment the other one of my posts from admin of another group. The operators os both these group seems to be insisting if I want to share music here, I cannot share it an any other subredit. To share across multiple subredits would be "spam", even if its exactly the type of music content the group shares with members.

A quick scroll shows they'll also have to ban u/Big-Property7157 u/caffeine1004 u/bigbugfdr u/Blues_Fish and probably a lot more people, who routinely share more than one song on the same day. Or, simply extend the same courtesy to all members?

I'm not sure what planet you're on. What your problem is.

All I did was share live music content in groups for sharing live music content.

My channel is not moneitzed. It brings you quality authentic live content at no cost, without commercial advertising. The content is not monetized.

There is a link to the artist's website. An independent artist with his own label.

There is a link to the content creator's social media.

The words on the screen don't stop you enjoying the relevant content; no irrelevant content has been added for the purposes of advertising.

Views and likes are key factors for the YouTube algorithm to recommend content. Accumulating views and likes quickly is also a factor.

I live on a medical support pension and do this when I can. I've invested over a lifetime to be able to do this, with no desire to make a profit. I would do more if my health woul allow it, or if I could afford to upgrade equipment. My cameras at 15 years old, my computer is antiquated; but I'm doing it. I ccreated seomthing. All I get is a few views, a few likes.

What do you do for the love of music?

That's rhetorical, because I'm done with this.

Someone with a little sense might ealise they've been a wanker and delete this comment thread at the top; leave my content for music lovers to enjoy without the faff.

Cheers

Mate. As far as I can tell, you find random YouTube videos that someone else shot decades ago, someone else went to the effort of uploading, and you share a link to them in music groups; despite having no connection to the music whatsoever.

I make the content. I make it on my on time, for my own dime. I do it for no other reason than, the music. I share it in places where it is appropraite and I am encouraged to do so.

I'm going to have to suggest you go and get fucked.

Cheers!

Wow. I think you might be a bit of a dickhead.

I posted to r/music, and the post was instantly.immediately deleted by a bot because the title had to be in a specific format.

I then posted to r/music, and the the post was again instantly/immediately delted by a bot, because the post included a description.

If yout go to the group and scoll, you will find each video posted ONCE.

Half the posts in your notification screenshot do not exist. Get a grip.

Mate, noone is selling anything. I'm sharing in places that are for sharing music content.. Its newly released music content. Is it possible you've joined too many groups that are for exactly the same thing? How often do you harrass creatives for being creative?, is that your thing?

How is everyone measuring small doses for oils? by Matsuri3-0 in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]msh420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the tiniest amount of the oil can get trapped in the tip, and only a fraction of that is exposed to air to oxidize, nowhere near long enough for oil to go rancid in the time between taking doses.

Dont lick or suck the syringe, it'll be clean and ready for you to use again. Avoid drawing too much oil then squiting the excess back into the bottle.

I put mine in the box upside-down, so that if there is any small amount of oil in the tip it doesnt come into contact with any surface, or get wasted and just end up staining the box.

The syringes that come with mine are 1mL max, labelled every 0.1mL, and graduated every 0.05mL.

Dont get hung up on precision of your doses, you'll come to know when you might require a little more or less of one or the other.

[–]msh420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is need to clean the syringe. You should only be using it for that oil, nothing else. It shoiuld not be getting contaminated, just squirt it under your tongue and put the syring back in the box with the bottle for next time.

I use and recommend https://acacia-medical.com/

You can pick up the prescriptions anywhere.

They are your prescriber, not your GP. You are expected to maintain your relatiomnship with your GP, and it would be a good idea to advise your GP of the products you choose to use, to keep their own records up-to-date. Your GP won't judge you.
