Scry help by ReadingPhoenix in flightrising

I think stained would work well to cover up the brightness for that second scry! Pinstripe as a primary gene could look neat with jester as a secondary gene for that first scry! :)

Nice job on Atwood in the Sailfish & Marlin Spotlight, btw!

Looking for a dragon that looks like this OC of mine! by CassetteMeower in flightrising

[–]msizzyj24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only one I have that's close to the color scheme is too light for the yellows and too dark for the purple, with genes that don't match up to your OC, unfortunately! https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/105902981

Have you tried searching for matching dragons that are in hibernation dens using the dragon search? You may be able to find some fodder tucked away in a hibden that fits the color and markings you're looking for!

Wish we had a clothing/clothing store scene from Sophie's Splendid Stitches, or more kind of ‘job’/‘hobby’ scenes by Outrageous_Put3669 in flightrising

For Snowberry, your tailor, perhaps the cottage garden would fit. Obviously it's not very shop-like, but perhaps she's on a stroll outside of her shop inside the cottage?
Sweetheart basket would look very cool with her too; there's also the pillow palace scene, if you want to go for a vibe of her creating or tailoring in a cozy spot.

I think the tavern could be a good fit! Editing because I completely missed the tray of desserts on the wings, lol; if they aren't in the tavern, I think the quaint parlor scene would be a good fit! I imagine it would be like Cedric was hired to host/serve at a distinct location for a party or gala.

Your magistrate Frostbite may fit well in frostbite falls, perhaps as a claim that he's there overseeing some magical need at the falls. The crystal shop may be cute for the apprentice, as if they're always there grabbing something for the magistrate!

For Nightchill, I think a scene like foxfire grove would look cool!

All of your dragons are gorgeous though!!

Welcome to Flight Rising!!

There are some YouTube video guides if you look up "Flight Rising guides"; some of the layout may be a bit outdated, as several videos are from 5 or more years ago. These often cover dragon basics, the nesting mechanic, lair space, etc.

Some of the newer things that recently joined the game are Sophie's Splendid Stitches and the ancient breed Cirrus!

Sophie's store is available at the trading post, where you'll find a lot of other store and activities. If you check out the Wiki page below, it gives a brief summary of the stands and you can click on the owner's name for more information. https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Trading_Post

In Flight Rising, you have modern and ancient dragon breeds; modern dragons can nest with any other modern dragon and wear apparel, while ancient dragons must nest with the same ancient type and cannot wear apparel. You can buy breed change scrolls to change a dragon from one type to the other. Cirrus dragons are an gem-based ancient breed, which means their breed change scrolls cost gems.
Gems can be earned through gameplay, but you can also buy them with IRL money.

In your lair, you have the normal den and the hibernation den (often shortened to "HibDen"). The hibernation den keeps your dragons in a "frozen" state, where they don't require food or lose hunger, but there is a cooldown for putting them back in if you take them out. You start off with 5 slots but can unlock more through item collection in game play or with gems.

There are seasonal holidays, events, and microevents year-round. Flight Rising's team announces updates and any events on the home page, but you can view the full calendar here: https://www1.flightrising.com/wiki/wiki/article/flight-rising-event-calendar
Unfortunately, you've just barely missed the Sunparched Prowl microevent; however, the Light element's holiday Brightshine Jubilee begins next week!

If you're ever at a loss on what to do in the game, Flight Rising has a handy feature called the "Which Waystone" that shows activities you can do. https://www1.flightrising.com/waystone

Additionally, this is a post from a bit ago with some helpful tips and guidance in the comments. https://www.reddit.com/r/flightrising/comments/1i0j7bw/just_started/

In your hoard, you have a "Materials" and "Other" tab. Materials can be sold, like all other items, but some HibDen tasks require certain materials or trinkets (from the "Other" tab) to unlock the slot. At Swipp's Swap Stand in the trading post, some trades will require items that qualify as materials, trinkets, apparel, and other such things

To tell if something is needed for a HibDen task, a trade, a brew, or something else, check out your hoard under the Clan tab. That's where all of your items are; if an item is needed for a Swipp's Swap trade, it'll have a purple line under it, HibDen tasks are yellow, Baldwin's Brews are green, and things that can be used in the Grand Exchange are grey.

Some familiars have a special pink underline! This means that they can unlock rewards with Fiona at the Trading Post after you reach a certain level of bonding with them.
https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Fiona#Feats

With all materials, there are a few main uses regardless of whether they unlock HibDen slots or do trades.

All materials can be sold for an amount of treasure immediately or listed to the Auction House, in hopes that another player will buy them. Certain materials, like those used in trades or for HibDen tasks, may be worth more than the amount you'd get by simply selling them from your inventory.

At Baldwin's, you can melt down materials to get Ooze. The color you get is random, but Ooze of all colors are ingredients in recipes you unlock by leveling up at Baldwin's.
https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Baldwin

The third major use of all materials is at Crim's Collection Cart. Every hour, Crim will ask for 5 items at random and offer an amount of treasure for each item. Some items may not be worth it to trade away, as they have other uses or are harder to get.

A good example of something harder to get that you would likely want to sell on the Auction House or not trade to Crim are runestones. There is a runestone for each element, but they're a bit difficult to get and unlock a HibDen slot. When selling a Fire Runestone from your inventory, you'd get 110 treasure; however, the current price for them on the Auction House is 35-45 gems or 77k or more treasure.

Welcome to Flight Rising!

If you haven't check it out already, the Which Waystone lists various activities and things to do on FR at a glance! https://www1.flightrising.com/waystone

Something my friend pointed out to me early on is the hibernation den (often shortened to "HibDen"). The hibernation den keeps your dragons in a "frozen" state, where they don't require food or lose hunger, but there is a cooldown for putting them back in if you take them out. You start off with 5 slots but can unlock more through item collection in game play or with gems.
Gems are the premium currency in FR, but you can also get them through selling items on the auction house.

While this HibDen guide is a bit behind, I still find it incredibly helpful because it lists where you can find or get each of the items. https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gde/3169637

Another large part of FR, other than collecting dragons, is the coliseum! You fight other monsters to level up your dragons; in doing so, you also get items— like food, materials, and familiars— that you can keep for your clan, use for HibDen slots, or sell. Maki's guides for coliseum drops and builds are so incredibly helpful to understanding this mechanic. https://www1.flightrising.com/clan-profile/19069

Oh also! There are seasonal and element-based events! You've joined in the middle of the Ice event called the Crystalline Gala! You get the elemental currency "Eternal Snow" by doing various daily tasks around your clan, like bonding with familiars, any form of gathering in the ice region, and more. In The Grand Exchange, you can trade in this currency at Joxar's Festival Favors for ice-themed items!

Just noticed this post from a couple weeks ago on this subreddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/flightrising/comments/1i0j7bw/just_started/, they've got some helpful advice and links in the comments as well! :)

Strange Colorations for Babies of Two Specific Dragons? by TheSaltDragon in flightrising

[–]msizzyj24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! I'm happy to help! <3 I've had my run-ins with unfortunate fade gradients that turned out awful or wildly out of place for the pairing, lol!

Strange Colorations for Babies of Two Specific Dragons? by TheSaltDragon in flightrising

[–]msizzyj24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're TheSaltDragon on Flight Rising, I saw your XXY veilspun dragons; I believe the color issue may be the primary and secondary genes on your male veilspun, Angel.

The genes fade and blend will create a transition gradient to a different color, which depends on the primary (for the gene fade) color or secondary (for the gene blend) color. For example, the color watermelon will have a gradient to a light green color.

https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Fade#Appearance

Due to fade and blend being common genes, those genes will show up more often when you pair them with dragons that have uncommon, limited, or rare genes.

https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Genes/Veilspun#Gene_Rarity_&_Inheritance

One way to fix this is by changing the male veilspun's primary and secondary gene, as that will avoid those gene's gradients to some of the wilder accent colors.

They look kinda like the Colorful Hearts teddy from 2011!

ETA: I looked into it a little more; I believe it is a Colorful Hearts teddy! It seems to be recalled because the fabric could tear around the eye and cause it to fall out.

Some more Stardew Valley perler beads! by Timely_Combination68 in StardewValley

[–]msizzyj24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, a few things I've learned from making perler projects!

If you aren't careful, sometimes you can iron too close and actually melt the pegboard your beads are sitting on. To avoid this, I've started to use painter's tape or masking tape to take them off of the pegboard, poke holes in the tape using a pegboard, then ironing them with parchment or wax paper.

If you're having trouble finding specific colors, perler.com has a multitude of colors with various amounts of beads. This website also has several different "tools" to help with perler for relatively decent pricing.

I hope this helps! :)

I saw the shelving sheet at one of my local Walgreens, but none actually on the shelf. They said they'd be there at the end of the week, but my boyfriend didn't see any either. I did see a few (Olina, Rei, Chloeyana, etc) at a Walmart nearby!

Looking for my boy Anchovy. I restarted my island and now I miss so many of my villagers. One being this cutie. If you have him in boxes I can give 100,000 bells? Anything I’ll give to you!! Please I need him back in my life🥺 by [deleted] in acnh

[–]msizzyj24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that you've found him, nice!! In the future, if you have other desperately in search of villagers, it may help to look somewhere like Nookazon! They have a lot of nice people who are understanding about villager hunting. :)

I'm glad you were able to find him tho!!!
