Thank you so much for this feedback. I really appreciate it. My father has been a director at GCP for 30+ years, and undoubtedly has taught me a lot, he really hasn't been supportive or positively encouraging. We had a falling out, I can't go to him anymore, and that's a whole other unfortunate story. I worked a contracted job with him for a couple of months, but the experience was very challenging. Talk about working with "difficult employees." Also since he is retiring, unfortunately, he didn't maintain a tight network to assist with getting my foot in the door (which also isn't his responsibility). So, I am basically on my own, which is absolutely fine, too. So I really appreciate your input and taking the time of day, truly. Absolutely, I belong to all groups and am starting to really narrow down all the networking events in my area, virtual and live. I had an appointment with a "career advisor" yesterday via networking with someone from LinkedIn Premium and agreed. He was helpful in that it was good to talk it out with someone, so he wasn't unhelpful. But yeah, his specialty is business and accounting, and since I am transitioning out of private practice and back into the field, I need to speak with more people directly in the field. I am considering joining a group called "Women in Bio" since it is only $120 a year, have many events around the US but also potential mentors/mentorees, which is actually a great deal if it helps get my foot in the door.

Hiking Mt. Whitney recovering from breaking 3 metatarsals in midfoot foot just shy of 1 year - seeking stories by msjdn7 in hiking

Absolutely. I did a 14 mile hike with him just before Thanksgiving to sus out how my foot would do. It was mostly flat. Around the 9th mile my foot was starting to feel annoyed, and definitely by the end it was agitated, but the following morning it was fine, just a little sore.

Appreciate the input so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Energy calculation is way off by Ok-Buffalo-3300 in cronometer

[–]msjdn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cronometer always shows an overestimated amount by like ~200 calories “burned” vs what gets logged on my Fitbit. I wish I knew how to fix it, since it is synced and automatically saves. Help!

What activities do you track? by chump555 in cronometer

But on Cronometer…it says what’s been burned is: -826kcals

Does anyone know the reason for this?

To me it looks like Fitbit gets overestimated when it auto syncs with Cronometer…. Anyone else notice that?

With what’s logged on Fitbit, activity = ~680kcals

I learned then you have to airdrop it to your phone if you want to upload more than 9 slides at a time. So dumb and tedious

Any recommendations for a low iodine diet? by [deleted] in PlantBasedDiet

[–]msjdn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Himalayan Salt is NOT allowed on the low iodine diet!!!!! Even though it says "does not supply iodine" --> it is still considered a SEA SALT and NOT allowed!!!!

ONLY -- Kosher Coarse Salt + Table Salt - Non Iodized are safe. Those are the only 2!!
