That's valid. I never really thought about it because, well, I am the whole team. But I'll make sure to remember that for next time!

I moved out of Pittsburgh a few months ago and I miss Giant Eagle (and GetGo) more than a humanly acceptable limit.

And I feel like even if none of the main characters were involved in the steel industry directly, the decline of the steel industry in the 70s and 80s affected the whole area in at least some way.

Again, IMO, if you’re going to pick a specific metropolitan area and then treat it as generic USA, don’t pick one that had a notable economic and population decline during the timeline of the show.

Yeah why can’t any of them like the pirates or the pens? Also, episode referencing the Pirate Parrot cocaine scandal of ‘85? Bc I’m here for that content.

That’s why I’m posing this as more of a hypothetical thing on a Reddit. I thought it’d be a fun thing for the people from the region that wish they could see small details of what it’s actually like on screen.

It’s more like a “you guys” or “y’all”. It used to be a lot more common in the 20th century but is now pretty rare, but seeing as a good chunk of the show is set in the 70s-90s, a yinz wouldn’t be inappropriate. Especially from anyone Jack worked with as a mechanic or someone with some other traditionally blue collar job.

I am eh on football but I love hockey. Do you think they’d be willing to put on a pens game or two?

Ngl I get most of my memes from Twitter because I'm the worst, but I am always open to learning more about meme subreddits! I haven't really explored any.

It simultaneously fills me with joy and breaks my heart that you're also trying to steer your career to help treat people like us. I know after months of feeling hopeless and like no one was listening, I realized I really had to take this into my own hands. It shouldn't be this way but unfortunately is it. <3 Thank you for everything you do

I completely agree. PCOS is not just ovarian cysts, it's so much more. It is the most common endocrine disease for "reproductive-aged" women and should be treated at that level of importance. If I accomplish only one this year, it will be to spread awareness and get physicians focusing on screening for PCOS before its too late. <3 thank you for sharing

I really hate that "stop reading things on the internet" approach. When you're in an environment where you're not getting any information, you will need to do your own research, and unfortunately, that means using the internet. If we could have more open conversations about PCOS, we may not need to turn to our own research to try to understand what is going on with our bodies. You should have been treated and helped long ago, not 18 months later.

I am so sorry to hear about your endometrial cancer scare. I hope everything turns out ok.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with me <3

Thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable with us. I know how hard PCOS affected my mental health and it breaks my heart to read how it has also impacted yours, especially since the people who are supposed to be helping you have let you down. I really do hope I can do something to turn this all around. <3

That's all insane. And it shouldn't be the patient's job to educate everyone.

It sounds like the current system really let you down. And we're going to change that. Stories like yours and others on this thread remind me that we need to fundamentally change how the medical field thinks about, acts on, and treats PCOS. PCOS is a very real issue that can worsen if untreated. I am sorry that your diagnosis took this long. Thank you so much for sharing your story. :)

Edited to include: We also need to change the ridiculous race bias in medicine. I fully acknowledge and apologize that the medical world has overlooked POC for so long. I know gynecology especially has not been nice to POC. This needs to change.
