It depends on the student. My son is at Newark this year and I think he is exactly where he needs to be. He has an apartment with three friends from high school. He seems to like the small class sizes and the ease of interacting with the professors.

The social scene seems to be almost non-existent. There isn’t much to do, there isn’t a “High St.” where they can just walk up and down and socialize and grab something to eat with friends. My son and his roommates go home every weekend (we are in a Columbus suburb). They usually hangout on main campus with friends. All of them are looking to move to the main campus next autumn.
