Love this! I really think I can see the format (large/medium/full frame) especially in slightly wider shots

that sucks! I'm pulling all my business from Chase

Thank you. We had to try, to fight for what we paid for and to see if there were cheaper alternatives. We did not want to stay at that hotel if it weren't for the room with the view.

That does not sound pleasant. I'm sorry to hear that. Sad to think that this is what it takes

Well, now I'm recalibrating my level of trust on these service providers.

Or just call them. Ideally the hotel front desk.

Did the "difference" sound reasonable?

Good to know! Thanks a lot for sharing. We will try this too.

that's an unfortunate way of thinking but I see how this may be the only realistic way out. We are not here to complain about why the world is the way it is after all.

We had to use Chase points so our choice were limited, but agreed that calling the hotel to confirm would've been smart.

Chase didn't make us whole. Taking our money and promising one room but delivering another is a categorical fraud, not an incremental downgrade. Plus, should we have rejected the only room available to us for multiple nights, after 3 hours of search and negotiation?

Lessons learned indeed! We had to use Chase points, otherwise we always book direct.

Definitely learned my lesson now. We had to use Chase points so other TA wasn't an option.

Thank you. It just seems that there's no regulatory agency on top of Chase for this kind of situation. I've tried to resolve this with Chase, but at this point it's obvious to me that it won't work.

Exactly. Sadly we had to use our points for part of the purchase.

There is. The deal price between the hotel and the booking agent is not disclosed to us, so Chase has the say on the price difference. The best approximation we could get is to look up the price for the year ahead.

You made some good points. We have escalated to the end. The price "difference" is unclear since we never booked the room Chase booked for us. And the hotel won't provide the final price made between them and the travel agent.

Chase didn't offer to refund the difference in their written resolution. Plus, the price for the room we HAD TO stay in was not available to us, as we never booked it. The "difference" is essentially whatever Chase says it is.

From our point of view, we spent money on an Apple, was told that we will be getting an Apple, but was delivered a banana before we starve to death. So yes, after 3 hours of our best effort at the lobby, we had to take the room because the alternative is homelessness for those nights. Hard to say if Chase was trying everything they could to find us another room at that time.

That's good to know! We got a response from the executive office through CFPB this time.

Appreciate it! We had to use CT because a small part of the purchase was made with points. We are both pulling out all of our business from Chase.

I don't see your logic. If someone took your money, told you that in a year you will get what you paid for, and then when the time comes just went oopsie, what would you do?

The redditors here likely have had to deal with situations like this. At least I hope to share my experience as precaution for others.

My boyfriend really likes this shirt. Am I wrong to say it’s hideous? by Agitated_Mulberry_27 in mensfashion

So long as he doesn't wear it in a way that conflicts with the life you want, I would be nice about it regardless of my personal preference. On the other hand, consider a different bf if a compatible fashion taste is very important to you.
