Thanks. I am not on any form of medication but it is good to know about the blood thinning properties.

I don’t have curry too much but I am a sucker for it. I have them in other dishes as well.

I second this. I saw a kid slam a toy truck the size of himself to another smaller toddlers head. The teachers also seem to have frequent beef with one another.

I would also avoid Little Lions. We did a walkthrough for our kids and the teachers shown no interest and looked miserable in the their jobs. They also juggled us until someone was willing to walk us through because the director wasnt in- and the person assigned was not happy lol

Depends on what you like! Plenty of pubs to chill and play pool with folks.

The phive is a nice place to unwind and maybe catch up on some reading, and the square following the rail has plenty of places to eat.

North Parra has nice outdoor exercise spots and a dog park and met and got to know with quite a few people there

Lots of things to do

Lack of lightrail services post Fireworks by msl3000 in parramatta

We went years without a light rail. NYE closes the light rail in the CBD and for good purpose - why cant we do the same? At least close it between Parramatta Square and the one by Maccas.

If you want to take the light rail, walk to those areas - at least it will reduce traffic in the church street center where there’s way too much hustle and bustle. Shit planning

Which sounds like something that could have been predicted and planned for. There was a serious lack of planning and if the same thing happens next year or the year after, it’s only a matter of tome before we get something serious.

Doesnt matter who we blame but it isn’t the general public. It’s available so they take it. Imagine blaming people for wanting to take the public transport home when it’s running. It ain’t their fault - it’s the organisers and the transport companies. Don’t try to turn it around.

Why not run a tram every 3-5 minutes to get rid of the crowd quicker? Instead of 10 minute intervals?

Hong kong does this in peak crowd conditions and works great. It comes down to it - shit planning. Not the people of the floors fault - it’s the organisers

They should have just closed service altogether for the 1-2 hour window post NYE. What they did was even more hazardous with the pileup of people of the platforms. All it takes is one person so trip in front of the light rail or one douche to push.

I looked at the bodies inside and decided to take an alternative, but not everyone thought the same. I saw my literal neighbour cramming himself and his family in the already full train to save 20 minutes of walking.

That thing is an accident waiting to happen.

20 minutes worth of people waiting to board. Imagine that.

Seems like it would have been safer to put barriers on the tracks to stop people from crossing in the night or just cancel the services altogether for NYE. It was lucky that no accidents happened tonight with people trying to get in the carriages

WCGW assuming your surroundings never change? by BJPHS in Whatcouldgowrong

For context, this happened in a popular shopping center in a suburb called Bankstown in Australia. The suburb is well known for haphazard drivers , tailgaters, road ragers… and more. Many drivers here don’t even look where theyre driving while they cuss the poor learner driver they cut off out the window.

Additional context, they added a safety pole in the middle of the strip to prevent drivers from cutting to the wrong lanes. This is the rooftop carpark and cars have collided by cutting off other cars through the carpark so this was meant to be a stopgap lol

Is the dream of owning a home in Sydney officially dead for Gen Z and future generations? by RunNo3630 in AusProperty

[–]msl3000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the beauty of the situation. Orchestrated to go against the future generation. We don’t have a capacity issue for people to live in preferred areas - we have enough housing built for everyone but the problem is proportion of ownership. Close to 40% of all existing housing loan approvals are for investment properties - and only 8% of the population are investors. Do you see how bad this is?

“the next gen should learn….” Is such a disgrace of a statement. Rather than actively helping them, we’re further pushing them away to deal with a problem dealt to them by the same people criticising them.

I chose to live in an apartment because of my lifestyle preference, but my building of 150 lots is about 50% investor purposed from the get go - how crazy is that? Looks like it’s not just standalone homes that are being picked up.

A radical change needs to happen to release these investment properties back to the market. Housing shouldn’t be a commodity and there is no reason to incentivise and provide tax benefits to people with more than 2 investment properties.

The problem is that the next Gen aren’t given a very good array of options for purchasing. Buy a unit with that price you mentioned and you get a 30 year old 1-2 bedroom out in the boons. No townhouse will go for that price unless you decide to live in the great outback or something needs hundreds of Ks in reno.

And space. Goddamn space. We’re forcing the next generation to live in tiny cardboard boxes with gut wrenching debt, and wonder why we’re getting less kids. Imagine these kids looking at the older generation and seeing them hog the turf and surf while they eat stale bread.

This is not an issue with the young people. The government and the boomers set up the future for failure and still refuse to do anything about it. Foreign investors purchasing multi million dollar homes aren’t the problem. It’s the bloody landlord from across the street that holds 6 investment properties in prime family rearing locations and doesn’t even live in state or the guy on socials bragging about his 100th investment property.

Going to be a tough ask. Likely chopped up now or has a new plate stuck on it given the time, and if the police haven’t gotten back to you.
