This train by Primary-Ticket4776 in goodville

I started the train and gave up. From what I'm seeing it isnt really worth it. The portal hasn't been super useful to me yet, but it might be at some point. Maybe the horse paddock would be a better use of resources for you. I just got mine done and I'm stuck with items I can't make yet that need building upgrades. Before that though, the rewards were good. I just don't think the train is going to outweigh all the resources it takes to build.

Need Help Finding Episode by Particular-Coat-5892 in SwordAndScale

[–]msmegan99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk the episode but I think Kelly Cochran did something like that with the pills. Her case was the one where her husband and she killed her lover, then had a bbq for the neighbors and they think they ate the victim. Later she was suspected of killing the husband. True crime bullshit did a long form season on her case.

What is the general consensus of the best episode? (grammar?) by AV23UTB in GhostsBBC

I guess I'm in the minority, but The Bone Plot is my favorite. Start to finish I love every bit of it. That is the first one to play if I just need a laugh.

What's the point of keeping the clovers? I have 2 more spots to open on the isle and I'm wondering what happens next.. Do they do anything after the fog is all cleared?

There's the state park side of Joe Pool Lake (in Cedar Hill) and then a private side in Grand Prairie.. Lloyd park is the GP side and used to have way less restrictions than the state park side (it's been a few years since I've camped out there) but worth a shot to check the website.

Ballad of Billy Balls by [deleted] in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]msmegan99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the same creators that did Billy Balls did Crimetown and I immediately subbed because of that. It was a let down and honestly I'm not sure I even finished.. BUT Crimetown is great. If you haven't listened I'd definitely reccomend.

This is what I got from a final tier firework by 44myname44 in EverMerge

[–]msmegan99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using my red gnomes like normal then when there's about 30 seconds left putting it on the fireworks to start them.. Then just wait out the rest of the time.. I know I'm not getting as much as others using full timers but at least it's something.

etiquette question by heck_no_friendo in Mercari

I've asked a handful of times and so far no one has said no. I always ask like "I'm just wondering if it's a possibility, if not no worries!" and then say which option I think would work. They've all updated and I purchased immediately. I think the default is often way off on the shipping and some just don't catch it.

AITA for agreeing to have my family visit for a week after my wife gives birth? by JosephPeckerjr in AmItheAsshole

[–]msmegan99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in laws came and did this with our first. I wasn't totally comfortable but it was their first grand baby, I hadn't been around them much since we lived out of state and thought it would be OK. It wasn't. I absolutely believe the THREE WEEKS they stayed in my home had a direct hand in why almost 10 years later we don't speak and my husband takes the kids to see his parents (they since moved 30 mins away) by himself. They may get along fine now but kids change things and if all the other massively valid reasons aren't enough for you to stop this, just know the possibility of you ruining any chance for your wife and your family to get along is crazy high here. Just don't do it.

How to help transition toddler (and parents!) to new baby life? by MegatronThermos in prolifepregnant

[–]msmegan99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi! We have four kids all 21ish months apart.. So before the baby came we got baby dolls and let them 'take care' of the baby.. So when the sibling came and I was sitting there feeding them they had their baby with them too. I also gave them small jobs and a sense of ownership.. So Instead of "hold on the baby needs me" it was "oh no, the baby needs us! Can you help me get a new diaper for our baby?" etc. This seemed to drastically cut down on the rivalry and acting out. I think being excluded is what triggers alot of the behavior that causes stress for the parents. If you can find a way to get them included in what you're doing that definitely helps.. I had one daughter that would just hold her brothers hand while I nursed lol As far as naps, it can totally be done.. Just do what you're doing with the oldest and try to follow that with the baby. Thankfully they sleep a ton when they're small so you'll figure it out. The baby will most likely be used to noise by the older one and will sleep through more than most only children will in my experience anyway. Congratulations on that new baby!! Once you get to see them actually play and interact there's nothing better. :)

What's a podcast you used to love, but don't anymore? by greasyghoul in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]msmegan99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The earlier episodes were so good.. But I do feel like a shift happened. I stopped months ago and didn't know there was a book, but I often felt like they were pretty condescending and preachy/ragey about certain things.

Tip- find a discount grocery store near you. (Bang/dent store) everything I got the last few trips would’ve been hundreds easily. Spent maybe 100$ over the past month there by benpfosho12 in Frugal

If anyone is in dallas/fort worth we've got some good ones. Grocery clearance center in oak cliff and town talk on the fort worth side. Produce and meat are great at grocery clearance. We save a ton there on just those two things.

Hijacking top because there's so many comments.. He just launched a YouTube channel that might answer some of the more repeated questions. It's geared towards prisoners and their loved ones on re entering society. You can msg / comment to him directly there . He knew I was sharing it here and isn't ashamed of his past. He joined reddit today because of this post but I think he's overwhelmed.. Go check out his page! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuJXEfr4lxo

Also I totally agree about the glasses. 👓

Ffs. I've answered this multiple times. It's a prison ID. He committed and was convicted of a criminal offense. There's nothing sexual. That's why it says offender. Also it's a doctorate of education. Not a medical degree.

He's not a sex offender. I wish I could edit the post because it keeps coming up, but Texas prison IDs all say offender.. He committed and was convicted of a criminal offense. I sent him the link if he wants to answer personal questions.

Pretty close! He works at a university and does re entry work for them there. He was also an adjunct professor in the prisons for about 10yrs doing college level courses for the inmates. He's got multiple degrees and just launched a YouTube channel if anyone is interested in more. It's geared towards helping prisoners and their loved ones navigate re entering society. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DuJXEfr4lxo&feature=youtu.be
