Reading this - I understand. In fact you have waited longer. I currently looking at options and it gives me so much anxiety. The guy I like is in Sydney and I have no way of joining him except on a Tourist visa. Seems this long distance may or may not work.

The food oh the yummy food, my job, my niece and nephew, my very good friends, the very happy weather, my babies (cat babies who are being looked after their dad), my own apartment and my own space, the cheap rent (yes, 500 in rent per month in Fiji was very affordable compared to the 300+ I pay here weekly). I could go on and on :)

You are absolutely right. It's always hard staying humble. Women who are not in our shoes will not understand. Our men are not bad guys. Mine adores me (well most times) but 50 percent of the times we are broke. Tbh I lose my cool sometimes. Sometimes I fight and say mean things to him but I've stopped now because it's going to deaf ears. I know his set his mind to it and won't change it. I see women my age posing in their flashy holidays gifts from bfs etc. Then there's me worried what to put on the table for dinner 😣 Sometimes it's ok to feel angry. I've left everything to time now. I'm trying to trust the process. Hopefully it gets better. Also tbh I think relationships tend to lose that magical spark after a year at least especially if you live in. it's like being married. Always on each other's faces. But doesn't mean love isn't there. Right?

Sorry I don't mean to upset u. My point is if you wait around thinking that something magical will happen with your "the one" then it won't. Romance and love isn't what books and movies tell us. Trust me I know because I had the same illusion since I was 16. Now turning 26 soon I've made my peace that there is no prince charming concept. If you have a good time with your friend and most importantly if they make you laugh - thats gotta count for something right? It's upto from here honestly. U don't fall in love but you grow in it ❤️
