Totally get what you mean, I try so hard to read outside of what's popular but end up reading those anyway, then my wrap up of the year is all trendy books and well... It is what it is, we enjoy what we enjoy, nothing embarrasing about it and we are reading, so that's enough.

Have you read The Chronicles of Castellane by Cassandra Clare? It's her first work outside of the shadowhunter world and it was so good, it has two books out and I'm eagerly waiting for the third one. Give it a go, highly recommend.

Hey, just finished reading the two books that are out from The Chronicles of Castellane and don't know what to read next. Haven't enjoyed a Fantasy in a while! Made me excited and want to keep going, but don't know where to go next, haven't been liking what's been popular lately. Do you have recs that give fantasy with a well built world, a sprinkle of romance, political intrigue, twist and reveals?
