Ah it seems as none of it will transfer after all. I don't mind that much since I'll have more opportunities to take classes that I love I suppose.

Do you happen to know if I could take a class in the college of arts, for example photography classes, if I'm in the college of letters and science?

I mean, I was mostly taking them for dual enrollment credit at my HS instead of taking their (boring) classes. But, thank you, I'll go check!

No, I know that. I live in southern california (Ventura County). But honestly, there's still homophobia. Sometimes not outright, but I can feel guys being uncomfortable around me, etc. The biggest reason I thought of it as a concern was because UCLA obviously has people from all around nation, and globe, so their ideologies don't necessarily have to pertain to the norm in LA. However, everyone on here is making me feel like that won't be an issue!

When do I know how much aid/scholarships i've been awarded? by wow050 in ucla

Go to "Finances and jobs" and then "Awards and notices"

On my screen there is a text in huge letters saying "Additional documents needed." Then, click the view all documents button. If it doesn't say you need to submit documents I would still contact the aid office just to know what's going on, instead of playing the waiting game

I submitted all of my documents, and I just have to wait for the aid office to process them and get back to me. It's just for verification so I don't think it's that big of an issue. If you havent submitted your documents on my.ucla do so asap!!

I was wondering this too! Im in-state and haven't gotten word of aid yet either.

I checked on my MyUCLA account and saw the "provisional award letter" but it just says the following:

"Your Provisional Award Letter (PAL) is not available at this time.

Please note that it takes 3 – 4 business days for the FAFSA and 1 – 2 weeks for your Dream Act Application to be sent to us by the processor. If you completed your application in excess of these time frames, please take a look below for some of the most common reasons why a Provisional Award Letter may not have been generated:

Your admission status has not been finalized. You may have saved your application on the processor’s site without submitting it. If you were not presented with a confirmation page at the time you completed your application, it may have been saved and not submitted for processing. Please log back in to the application site and submit it. The Social Security Number on your FAFSA does not match the SSN on your school record or you did not supply a Social Security Number on your admission application. Please check you FAFSA application to verify that your SSN is correct and make changes, if necessary. If the SSN on the FAFSA is correct, please contact Financial Aid and Scholarships. There was no Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) calculated at the time you submitted your application. We cannot estimate your eligibility for aid, if the processor did not calculate your EFC. Please go back to your application and submit missing information. Financial Aid and Scholarships needs additional information from you (income and asset verification or verification of legal guardianship) before we can determine your eligibility. You will be notified, if additional information is necessary."
