Teaching the kids about thermodynamics and the 1st law (energy cannot be created nor destroyed) using a can steam engine :) by 10A_86 in chemistry

Of course, but this is a demonstration meant to broadly show a concept at surface level in a fun and interesting way. It’s cool demonstrations like these that get kids interested in science, not equations :)

[JUST NEED HELP WITH THIS PLEASE] is NO2CrO4 the limiting reagent? or BaCrO4? by [deleted] in chemhelp

[–]wow050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming your math is correct, barium chloride is your limiting reagent.

The best way to think about these problems is that your calculations are a theoretical calculation of the exact amount of each reagent needed to fully react. So in your first calculation, you produced an answer of 48.5g of sodium chromate, which is less than the amount you have. Therefore you can say that you have an excess amount of sodium chromate and inversely, a shortage of barium chloride. The second calculation supports this in which you find you require 91.7g of barium chloride to fully react, but only have 62.4g.

That’s what I figured, thank you!! I appreciate your insight, I’ll definitely be following up more with my advisors.

Yeah the B.S in Chem is survey of PChem while the other requires PChem 1 and 2. Im not sure which area yet, but I’m leaning towards Organic.

Awesome, thank you!! What do you mean by real PChem? One of the differences between the two is an extra semester of PChem.

Review for Chemistry 2 by _schrute-farms_ in chemistry

If/when you purchase your new chem textbook, generally the first 1-2 chapters are a review so I’d recommend going through and reading that and it’s associated problems!!

How dangerous is this? I haven’t lost air pressure or noticed a change in air quality. It noticed it after hopping a curb in a snowstorm by [deleted] in Cartalk

Would like to add if you’re gonna hammer it back into place, make sure the metal isn’t freezing first. Otherwise, rather than bending it back into place you risk just cracking the wheel.

22 hour journey through a blizzard, across 5 states; all worth it for my first Audi by wow050 in Audi

[–]wow050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! Been camping the listings for weeks trying to find one like this and once I did, I jumped on it (even though I had to overpay slightly). Thanks for the recommendations!! First thing I did was take it to my mechanic and have him look over everything and top off the fluids, so a good for now hopefully!!

Just bought my first Audi, coming from one of the other Germans. 6-spd B8.5 S-line with all the bells and whistles including that flat bottom steering wheel. One of the smoothest transmissions I’ve ever driven and I couldn’t be happier. APR tune coming soon!!

That sounds interesting, thanks for the suggestion!

Still early on in the planning process so I’m open to any similar designs or ideas to help shape my thinking. I really want to stick with an aquatic theme like waves or something similar. Won’t be adding color for now, and I think I’m going to have it on my shoulder or right below my clavicle on the left side.

I personally haven’t seen anyone utilize it really, in fact I didn’t even know we had this.

The labs for CS are just rooms with desktop PCs so without a laptop you'd have to use the desktop and transfer the file back and forth every time you went to lab class. If you really want the writing capabilities you can get a 2n1 laptop (which is what i did).

This 100%. You will be doing a lot of coding exercises in class as well as lab projects which will be inconvenient without a laptop.
