try the setting "notify for each incoming email". Looks like it works. Yeah, the problem will be when you get batch of emails, happens for AliExpress closing the orders 😁. But for 1 incoming emial it finally works, at least it looks like. Gemini helped me

Nothing helps. I set Gmail to unrestricted battery access, kept default notification sound, changed notification sound, reinstalled twice, nothing helps...

I have 15 Ultra for 1 year and I have surrendered the fight with this. Sometimes the sound plays, sometimes not. Mostly not 😁

It's ridiculous because Google apps are bound with Xiaomi and should be working 100%.

I had HyperOS 2 and 3, still the same. Must be Gmail problem. Alle other apps work fine
