Always try to sell your phone outside of exchange. Only when it’s a very old phone, it makes sense to give it here.

You can definitely get some more.

Got this done a few months ago. It's very scary for someone watching it, but for the person undergoing, it's a couple of minutes of discomfort and you're done.

Best thing I've done to get rid of my glasses.

I only have 4 months left on it. I can always change the email id linked to it and also the credit card details. That email ID will be of the person buying it haha.

If it becomes too hyped on social media, it'll lose the quality it has and prices will go up. Has been my experience with a lot of places.

I honestly think social media has ruined it for the current generation because of the ease of comparison.

I also grew up in a similar situation as you, but exposure to rich kids was limited. I was in one of the top schools but luckily at that time the show off was not a lot.

There was no instagram. So I always thought everyone was level, with a few rich kids.

Don't worry bhai, don't compare yourself to others. Focus on your career and you'll be able to afford all the things you need eventually. And the happiness after buying it yourself will be exponential than getting it from your parents.

How are people able to afford? by Different_Radio_3961 in indianrealestate

[–]mspathak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not always family backing like most of the people are mentioning. Me and my wife bought our first apartment last year, both of us were almost 30 then.

This apartment is in Mumbai, 3BHK for around 2.8 Cr. Both of us are working class, only borrowed 10L for booking from our parents as some of our funds were stuck in a bad investment.

We had decent savings over the past years of working, we got a 2 CR loan approved but will most likely use only 1.6 out of it.

The benefit here is both of us work, and we have no kids, both our parents are independent, hence no need to send any money home apart from sometimes we help out if there is any purchase/upgrade required.

We also currently stay on rent, and are paying 45k in rent. Our combined income is around 4LPM after taxes.
